I shot this from my room at the Commons Rehab Facility in downtown Orlando. I have shot this same view every night for the last four days with my I phone. I think this is the best one. I’m going home tomorrow, so this will be my last attempt.
A hospital ward, could be anywhere I would think. It is functional too, as long as you know what kind of functions are included or excluded. Is a "sense of beauty" functional? Is a piece of art included in the functions offered by a hospital? A flower perhaps? Small things can make a big difference. Most important is the other thing one cannot see in this picture - the humanity of the hospital staff and the person-to-person contact between nurses, doctors and patients. Whatever the architecture. Located on the western side of Tiber Island, the hospital was established in 1585 and is currently run by the Brothers Hospitallers of Saint John of God. The hospital is known for having sheltered Jews during the Holocaust by diagnosing them with a fictitious disease called "Syndrome K".

Heading for L-P on the "Hospital branch" in Newberry with 4151 and 2253 is WC job LO-42. This is one of the few times I shot a train on the branch although it seen service nearly every day back in WC days and still sees service a few times a week even in the CN era. November 12, 2000.
I used to work here. This hospital unfortunately was closed a few years ago because it was over 100 years old.

Entrance of the main building of former Wilhelmina Hospital at Assen, Netherlands.
This monumental building is from 1930 and was designed by architects J. and Th. Stuivinga. The style is described as traditionalist with an influence of the Delft School.
