Ah, the horrors of my childhood: having to manual rewind the tape back into a cassette.
When I prepared this shot, equipped with my old Walkman, a music cassette and a pencil, my kids were completely puzzled.
So I explained to them that this was how we listened music when I was their age.
'What happens if it comes to the end? Can you only listen to it once?'
No you can rewind it. But sometimes this would go wrong and the tape would roll out of the cassette. And that's where the pencil comes in.
Looking even more puzzled, I gave a small demonstration. After which they both said they prefer streaming music on their tablets!
