Suan Luang Rama IX Park , a new and sizable metropolitan public park, was born out of the aspirations and fervent desire of a group of His Majesty the King's loyal subjects to create and dedicate a park as a token of homage and honor to His Majesty on the occasion of His Sixtieth Birthday Anniversary in the year B.C. 2530 (A.D.1987), with the fullest co-operation of the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority.

Suan Luang Rama IX Park is divided into six areas.

1. Homage to His Majesty- The first and foremost of which is called Uthayan Maharaj (literally, "Garden of the Great King") to symbolize the Sovereign' Grace and Majesty.

2. The Botanical Garden- Area Two is a botanical garden dedicated to the propagation of knowledge, collection of and research on the various types of flora.

3. The Reservoir - Area Three, named Traphang Keo, is a reservoir in line with the flood-prevention project inspired by His Majesty the King, which is the foremost of subsequent water projects.

4. Rommaniya Garden - Area Four comprises an open garden where Thailand's natural heritage, including its mountains and geological features, is represented in miniature for visitors to the Park.

5. The Sanam Rasdara - Area Five, named Sanam Rasdara, is a wide open field intended for use for various types of entertainment of festive occasions. Sanam Rasdara (literlly, "Royal Ground"), fittingly symbolizes the affinity between Luang ("Royal") and Rasdara ("people")

6. The Water Garden- Area Six is a garden in the form of mixed jungle and marshlands, providing the life-sustaining habitat for fish, water- fowl and multifarious aquatic plants.

hehe, so this is my Easter shot! :) It's been tough keeping it from flickr.

It was a gorgeous evening, The tide was out and the sky was colourful. In view are some of London's most famous landmarks... Tower Bridge lit up in purple dominates the centre. To its right is the Walkey Talkey (Fenchurch Street building), The Cheese grater or Leadenhall Building), the Gerkin or St Mary Axe to name but a few. On the left are some river boats and Butler's Warf.

I like this picture because it has a certain kind of roughness about it... When the Thames empties out during low tied, I am often amazed by the objects left behind... anything from parts of engines, shopping trollies (of course), bones, changes, ropes, wooden structures from the days wooden vessels sailed the Thames to pieces of pottery and clothing.

I decided to include it in the picture... The prettiness above and the scruffiness below... both add something special.

This place is here in my hometown. In reality this photo came without thinking for something special, i made proves :P but later when i saw it on PC i loved it.

It is one RAW file, procesed in photoshop and lightrom and in the end some sharpening stuff so that's it.

Early morning walk through the market picking up some items, this caught my eye. Had to hurry home before I got drenched...you would think I was used to that by now...

Big adventure to take this one...

My camera just ran out of Battery... (and no one had a compatible one I could borrow)

I had no Tripod with me at all!!!!

And still I got this most successful Exposure of 5 try-outs...

Thanks to wise wolf that lent me his tripod... and to ohcaptain that lent me his camera...

The only thing mine was the SD card!

Lucky me.. ;P

Wat Phra Kaew, Bangkok, Thailand...

I love the richness of these colours, the title seemed so apt, having given up chocolate for Lent, I'm diverting my thoughts to other things. My friend Boo's sweet friendship, is, however as addictive as Chocolate.

Everyone should have a Boo!
