I was so happy that I found this game this morning. Yesterday I watched a video on how to make my own hoop but don't have the time. I have so many more ideas but am limited to creating the images for which I can find the props.
I think she may get a technical called for hanging on the rim ;).

Have had a succession of cloudy nights so far this dark period so into the archives with him!
From July last year - a lunar halo from the backyard of the Sharktower - Binalong Bay, Tasmania. The full moon was only a couple of nights away on the 3rd July.
The halo is caused by ice crystals in a thin, very high altitude, alto cirrus cloud formation. Streaks within that formation can be seen if you don't look too hard at it :-)
Also muscling in on the show and outlining the plane of the ecliptic are Jupiter and Saturn while Antares is at the edge of the halo lower left. You wouldn't know it but the moon is smack in the middle of the Milky Way core.

A posed photo of the Soo 2500 at Osceola, WI with Don Knutson hooping the orders up. This is a special photo for me, as Don was the day shift Soo/CP River Sub Dispatcher and I was his relief on second shift. Add in the Soo 2500 and this is alot of memories wrapped into the photo. May 1, 2016.

This is one of the many benches on pier 7, a popular fishing spot on the Embarcadero. The far end was packed with anglers who were catching 2 or 3 at a time. They weren't releasing them afterwards so I'm guessing the fish ended up as someone's dinner!
The pyramid-esque building in the background is the TransAmerica building which dominates the downtown financial district.

Good morning, flickrfriends! This fiery lady is a member of the fire dance troupe Nocturnal Sunshine. I came across them accidentally one summer while they were practicing on the lawn of the lighthouse/surf museum at Steamer's Lane in Santa Cruz, CA. Thanks to my Flickr friend Andy Frazer for his help on identifying this troupe through his own fantastic photos of them performing. :-)
I forgot I had these sitting aside to share. I haven't been out to capture anything new lately, so I may post another one later of the actual spinning, which was really cool. :-)

The Hoop House is all finished and Stu's been planting seeds inside. Some things have come up from last year too. We are anticipating some delicious food this year!
Outdoor basketball court at Ola Mae Simms park in Parish Florida. I think the only day this hoop isn't torn apart is the day the county replaces it. I can't understand why, if Manatee County provides this, people have to destroy it. I'm expecting that it will be completely removed if people can't take care of it.
