This is the same family that I got the video of where one of the youngsters walked up real close to the door of my cabin.
These are 2nd year cubs and will most likely not be with mom anymore come this Sept when I go again.
The video's in the first comment box in case you didn't see it. If you do decide to watch it, the first part is kind of boring, but try to watch until the end. And make sure the sound is turned up.

A gang of around 15 pigeons discovered my bird feeders a couple of months ago and have shown up every day since then. While they are very pretty and are welcome to the food, I really wish they would leave! They are such bullies!
Gone are the idyllic scenes where a dozen of my little resident sparrows would sit around the dish and all eat peacefully together in the morning sun. Gone are the gentle ring-necked doves. Gone are the occasional songbirds.
Instead there is noisy flapping of large pigeon wings to and fro, a lot of pushing and shoving with puffed chests, scattering of seeds everywhere and collective trampling all across the roof.
I have tried to "disinvite" the pigeons by reducing my offering to only one tube feeder for small birds but the most agile pigeons hang from it, flapping wildly while the seed drops to their comrades below!
Nature has many different strategies for living. Aggressive bullying is also one of them but I think Nature has her own delicately balanced ways of maintaining limits on bullies. Tinkering with that balance can open a Pandora's box.
It also occurred to me that the drama in my garden and that on the world stage are at times very nearly identical.

This Ruby-crowned Kinglet looks calm. Well, don't believe it because it stops for less than a nanosecond! Depending on my mood, I call them hooligans, monkeys, or monsters because they give me absolute fits. FINALLY, after several outings, I managed to grab an image of this little character. They are one my favourite lil' birds to find and try and get an image of during Spring Migration.

These Harbour House Sparrows were mobbing everyone that had food in their hands, and were diving between the lobster pots and the café. You could tell the non wildlife people, they were trying to swat them like an unwanted wasp !! I loved them :o)
This is Willie, he's the brother and the bigger of them both. They are half siamese, and my mum calls them "The hooligans!" They are also missing mum x
I saw three pelicans for the first time in 2011 in Calgary in the same spot.
And now I saw this trio for the first time this year. They were mostly grooming, but a few times they would misbehave :)

Back Story .........................................
5:20AM when I pulled into The Dog Palace driveway.
Rocky and Mama were quick to greet me at the gate.
Both received breakfast and a special treat .................
Today all dogs under my care start their monthly meds.
Heart worm, mange, tics, fleas and intestinal parasites.
This happens every month just like clock work and every
dog/med is recorded in a journal. Dog Supplies: medicated shampoo, toenail clippers, hair brushes and kibble were left
with the nuns.
As you can see in this photo Mama is being chased by a
bunch of Hooligans.
She's very clever at getting everybody to participate in her
game of catch me if you can. And they do, then it all starts
again. Notice how many dogs now play on the roof ? ... ;-)~
Tomorrow more dogs at The Tri-Pod Temple will receive the
same meds and generous portions of quality food ..................

Out on the Beach at Hauxley this morning for sunrise that didn't happen!! Blowing a Hooligan & a lot of cloud cover! Little Stopper & long exposure it was then!! wind was close to blowing tripod over at one stage! that was when I decided to give up & head home!! then the rain started!!
