20. Do Your Homework.
Nothing would be more embarrassing than buying your significant other a birthstone ring with the wrong birthstone! Make sure you know all the important dates in her life! Also, you certainly wouldn’t want to buy her a bracelet with a clasp that breaks the first time she wears it, or a ring that turns her finger green. Educate yourself about jewellery quality. Last but certainly not least remember that jewellery is an emotional purchase. Maximize the impact of your gift by giving it to her in a romantic setting or in an unexpected way. The key is to be original, and you’ll create a memory that she’ll cherish forever.

For some reason, my homework assignment for my internet & networking technology course, due on Tuesday, is to create a business card. The one on the left is my friend's business card for her hand craft accessories, the black business card is my friend's wedding videography business card, and mine is the one up top.

While exploring the tiny alleyways that make up Cusco one afternoon I came across this little food stall where a Peruvian mother was helping her son complete his homework. I find this picture moving as it portrays an often neglected image of South American education. Here is a young boy and his mother working hard towards his education, the future of Peru.
Mankind used to sit by the warmth of the fire in each other's company. Kids would sit with their slates or wax boards, doing their three Rs.
Nowadays, we dont relax, we work all day long, in the glow of our laptop screens. The kids do homework on the same laptops. Heat comes from the radiator under the table, smaller kids in distance playing in living room. Fire is hidden away in the basement.
The homestead animals are outside, chickens, goats, llama.

Teeny finished her homework tonight. She had to write a diary of her weekend activities and use a variety of punctuation. I hadn't realised she knew how to use commas so well.
Two still life drawings. One with markers, one with pen and ink. Same object. Last homework assignment for drawing class... I think. Two big projects left!
