One evening, I had a dinner at local Thai restaurant in countryside.
And I saw a girl helped her mom as a waitress there. After a while, she started doing her homework at the table… it was lovely scene so I asked her permission to photograph. ^_^
I don't remember my parents sitting down and doing hours of homework with us in elementary school.
When I was older my dad would sit down with me for our nightly crying and yelling session, referred to by my mother as "math tutoring". I have a lot of my dad's impatience when it comes to teaching. Gad.
But, back to my original point, why the hell do teachers pile so much homework on the kids!? It turns into a huge punishment for the whole family, taking away from what evenings are supposed to be: quiet and relaxing family time, time to unwind and get away from the hustle-bustle of the day.
I am blessed that J is such a hard worker. He rarely gives me attitude about work- be it school or chores. T... requires more intervention in this department.

I was shocked and awed yesterday...when I was able to get the little man to sit down and do his homework, without any footdragging or complaining.
"Today's Homework"
Concept art for an educational game called "Today's Homework," published by NamasteSoft. The game will be really fucking boring, and is strangely only available in an EGA version with no advanced sound card compatibility. Retail value is $24.95, though it'll be in the clearance bin at Software Etc. / Babbages Etc. by Christmas time. You can purchase a shareware version for $8.99, but it has tons of bugs and crashes all the time. Piece of shit.

Homework was a part of the learning process when we were kids and it certainly still is today. Especially with younger children, we play a large part in holding them accountable for getting their homework done…and done correctly.

Finally, eh?
I'm so terribly sorry about not uploading for such a long time. I've been reeeeaaally busy, I went abroed twice, and I think you'll soon see the pictures I took there.
Well, this photo actually gives quite a good image of what I've been doing. I'm currently studying at two schools, because I went a little crazy on the studying thing last year and sort of finished 3 of 6 tests that I normally should have taken next spring. So I'm taking three subjects at my old school and 6 in the new "high school" or whatever you want to call it (different school system). So I'm busy! I'm busy a lot these days...I have the feeling that I'm using the sentence: "I can't, I have to study" waaay to much.
And that's actually the reason I haven't uploaded. "I couldn't, I had to study". What a lame excuse.
Anyway.
My cousin Hildur and her sister Herdís went to Vietnam last week. And guess what? Hildur let me babysit her camera! She's not coming back until december!!! It's so great :D
It's a Canon EOS 400D. That actually doesn't tell me much, but maybe it rings somebody else's bells.
I have also not been able to resist looking a bit (or a lot) in Hildur's book, How to photograph absolutely everything. Now THAT's a fun book to read. Or look at :)
Thanks a million, Hildur!
Well I've written way too much so I'm shutting up right now. I have a lot of pictures to upload!
