Copyright © 2016 Phil Dodd, All Rights Reserved. The amount of homework children have at the moment means our daughter is busy most evenings after school covering some subject or another. On this particular evening it was Art, which included designing her own symmetrical patterns & completing the task by colouring them all in. I thought I'd try & capture the moment & use it as a different type of portrait....

When I feel someone

Around is trying to

Re-write the history

Using hysteria

I find it aggressive. We tend to learn

From history, and its relative – the hysteria

Prevent us from seeing the things

And to find out the real lesson.

So during my homework I

Have found the strongest phrase for it –

"because the waters have come in, even to my neck."(Psalms, 69)

I am not so good with hindi 😅. Actually I hate reading or writing Hindi. I got this click while learning hindi before my exams...

These children live in the slum at Manek Chowk. I watched the older one helping the youngsters do their homework while stuck in traffic on my scooter. I stopped and spent a while with their family who live in a low lean-to shelter on the edge of the street. Warm people.

Back to the routine after a nice three day weekend.

Listening to Hamilton, no doubt.

Writing out his spelling words - Monday homework

For me this laundry thing is something very Italian... You walk on an alley and suddenly smell something fresh and flowery - you look up and see somebody hanging the laundry. Lovely! And practical as well, I guess. In Finland you could never do this, with the moody weather and our supersafe superboring triple windows. Not to mention some city regulations that would propably prohibit it...
