Here's some of the magic that helps make my home automation automated.
Clockwise from top left:
a) HDMI over Cat5E receiver to get High Definition video from the main equipment rack.
b) RGHBV distribution amplifier: I'm sending both component video and RGBHV (PC) video over the same wires, but the TV needs to have the video split to different inputs
c) Crestron C2N-VEQ4: Does a tiny bit of audio processing and the volume control for the master bedroom
d) Current Sensor for the TV: Provides positive confirmation that the TV is on or off.

In the previous photo of this there was an aluminium blanking plate. Removing this reveals two new ports.
From left to right: power, SVGA, DVI, 2 x USB ports - one containing the recovery boot software, ethernet, audio out (I assume).
