Spraying the "Wet n Forget" solution onto the siding. The shady side of the house gets pretty nasty from mildew. Thankfully, the product removes the nastiness over time. Nontoxic, but not instant like bleach. Can you imagine standing under this spray when bleach is coming out the spray wand? Yech.

Three times per year we prune the palm trees of our clients, to remove dead, yellow leaves and flower heads. The flower heads we remove just before the flowers open, as dropping flowers are a nuisance, especially for pool owners.

While this was not taken on the 20th, this motor was one of the things troubleshot on the 20th. Turns out a bad capacitor for the compressor and this fan motor may be the culprits (and might save a few thousand dollars in the meantime). Having coworkers and neighbors that know the material sure helps when trying to find what is wrong (and saving a fortune).

Pruning Olive trees at Bosque de las Lomas I, Orihuela-Costa
Poda de Olivos en la Cdad de Vecinos Bosque de las Lomas I, Orihuela Costa.
The community of Bosque de las Lomas has 11 Centenary Olive trees, which in 2010 had an unkempt abandoned look, as they were planted when the community was built but never pruned ever since.
The common practice in Spain is to prune olive trees like if they were production trees, to enhance the harvest of olives, creating open crowns to let enter light from all angles, but causing an unruly look, which at the countryside might be charming but looks out of place in a more urbane setting. Also, in a garden setting no harvest is required at all and the falling olives are more of a nuisance , staining the floor under the trees. A more aesthetical way of pruning was adopted, giving the trees a neatly clipped round shape, our frequent pruning of 3 to 4 times a year provokes bushy growth and dense crowns, and also removes most flowers before they can set seeds, thus suppressing the formation of olive fruits.
La comunidad de Vecinos de Bosque de las Lomas I tiene 11 Olivos centenaries que en 2010 tuvieron un aspecto descuidado , porque fueron plantados por el promotor de la comunidad, pero nunca mantenidas ni podadas desde entonces. Práctica común en España es la poda de olivos como si de árboles de producción se tratase .
Podando el árbol de tal manera que tiene un copo abierto que permite que entre la luz del sol por todos los lados, para así estimular la formación y maduración de las olivas, así creando un aspecto algo descuidado que puede tener su encanto en el campo o la huerta, pero no en un entorno urbano. Aparte de eso, la abundante producción de olivas, con su caída del árbol causan manchas en el suelo debajo los arboles (terrazas o superficies de grava), que difícilmente se limpan.
Por eso adoptemos una poda más estética , dando al árbol un aspecto más nítido con sus copos perfectamente redondeados y compactos, además con la poda frequente de 3 a 4 veces al año quitamos la floración antes de que pueda formar los frutos.

Este césped queda verde especialmente durante los meses de calor en verano, cuando más se usa la piscina. Un corte y fertilización ligera cada semana, garantiza que el césped se mantenga verde y resistente al pisoteo frequente.

Today I got to be the designated "Wait For The Workmen To Come Over" person, as the propane tank was sinking into the ground somewhat at one end (which apparently impairs efficiency), leaking from some dobobber at the top, and needed propane added.
With permission, I took some photographs of the "move and remount" process.
