Fairy CatTail had what some may call a gift, but, she called it a curse and had no idea how it befell her.
Fairy CatTail had the ability to turn real living flowers, leaves, plants, bushes, vines, and the like, when at their peak of beauty, into “glass”, thus preserving their beauty forever. Sadly, this ability was not something she could turn off and on at will. Instead, it was active at all times. She could not escape it…continued in shop’s listing on Etsy.

🌸Tropical Islet
🌸Tropical Islet outdoor design in two versions.
The version without water effect is very low land impact considering the size. This design can be used in water or on dry sand like a beach ad-don. The version with waves is meant to be used on SL waters, but you can use it on artificial water prim if needed. This version has wave sound effect and water foam animations. We also included a stand alone waves, just in case you need extras to add around some of your other stand alone cliffs and rocks in the water.
Both Islet designs are scripted and have cool effect when coconuts randomly fall from the palms, but don't worry, this coconuts are temporarily rezed and won't fill up your parcel. They will disappear shortly after falling on the ground.
The islets also have multiple single animations to enjoy when you find yourself stranded on this uninhabited place. You can go trough the menu to find your favorite or chose the sequence to play all the animations one after the other.

A door knocker is an item of door furniture that allows people outside a house to alert those inside to their presence. A door knocker has a part fixed to the door, and a part (usually metal) which is attached to the door by a hinge, and may be lifted and used to strike a plate fitted to the door, or the door itself, making a noise. The struck plate, if present, would be supplied and fitted with the knocker. Door knockers are often ornate, but may be no more than a simple fitting with a metal bob or ring.

Long before the doorbell, homeowners hung door knockers on their entrance doors. Door knockers have a long history -- they have probably existed as long as houses have had doors -- but it wasn't until the Middle Ages that door knockers became a fanciful house accessory.

Just wanted to share my delight with you…
A friend of mine has this gift for finding the most wonderful vintage or older miniature metal miniatures (1:12 and 1:6th scales), at flea markets, tag sales, yard sales, and the like. She found these!!
These are very old, made of a metal which I cannot identify because they are painted, have the original paint, and are 1/6th scale.
The paint looks great considering their age and check out that domed cake plate!!

Door knockers are pervasive throughout history in every culture. The doors of the Cizre-Great Mosque in Anatolia, Turkey, built in 1160, hold two dragon bronze knockers. Ancient Italians hung Medusa heads. English doors sported snarling lions.

Kasey House
Message from the Designer:
"Kasey" has a footprint of 24 x 24 meters and an land impact of 112. When I started building houses in SL in 2008, I took an interest in RL architecture and, among the architects I discovered was Robert M. Gurney, an American architect. I loved the cleanliness of his designs and "Kasey" is very much an homage to Gurney, though in my own style. "Kasey" is an open floor plan, with two large areas downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs".

House hardware - query whether these handles (on a linen cupboard) date back to the 1950s, or perhaps even earlier (have seen similar on a Hotel that I know is dated to the 1930s).

“A Little Tale”…
Mirrors attract spirits. They function as portals from the Other Side to this world. Not many people know this, but, one should always be careful when buying a mirror sold very cheaply at a flea market or garage sale. It could be home to a spirit and the person seller dirt cheap, just wants to get rid of it.
The average person barely has time making it through daily life with all its problems and stress, let alone delving into the spirit world. So, people give it no thought.
So it was for Fred and Louise. Both worked at jobs they hated, but were afraid to quit due to the economic situation, so every day was a daily grind for them. Neither one earned very much even though they were both college grads. They had four kids, one a football player with an appetite of five others; so, he helped keep the local supermarket in business. The youngest daughter, Lulu, just got braces, the car needed new brakes, and the dishwasher was on it last leg. So suffice to say, money was tight.
Nonetheless, Fred and Louise wanted their children to have a beautiful home to be proud of and to bring their friends over. So, because they could not afford store prices, they went to flea markets every Saturday, found items, redid them, and created very beautiful pieces for their little home.
One rainy Saturday, they weren't going to go to the flea markets. It was wet, cold, and damp. The thought of walking around in the mud and being wet to the bone was unappealing. But, Fred insisted they buck up and go. He said to Louise, “Today may be just the day we find the buffet for our Dining Room that we are looking for.”
The flea market was nearly deserted due to the rain and mud. So, Fred and Louise seemed to have it all to themselves. They sipped coffee as they wandered from booth to booth. The sellers were desperate to sell their goodies, so they offered great deals on item Fred and Louise needed and also on ones that were “wish to haves”. It turned out to be a lucky day for them, it seemed.
Located near an old huge stone fountain with the water still flowing despite the rain was Booth 13. The booth’s tent was old, faded, torn, and spotted. Inside, the seller had tables and tables of so many different types of items. Oddly, neither Fred nor Louise saw them. Both of them honed in on a beautiful old, aged verdigris, and ornate wall mirror, propped up against a chair. They both coveted it, but feared it was propped against the chair because if was already spoken for by another person.
As “luck” would have it, it was not spoken for. The seller placed it there to protect it from the rain. He was a slimy looking skinny man with long greasy hair. He could see in their eyes how much they wanted/coveted it and nothing could have made him happier. He wanted to rid himself of that thing… at a profit, of course.
So, Fred and he began to haggle while Louise held the mirror in her arms. Fred and Louise had bought so much that day, far more than they should have, that Fred was determined to get the price of the mirror down to something they could afford. For some reason, as if a voice deep within him was telling him so, he suspected the seller wanted to get rid of the mirror.
So, Fred offered next to nothing for it and made it clear that was his final offer.
The seller was not in the least bit pleased with the offer, but this was his only chance to get of that thing and be free of it forever, so he thought, “So, he wants it that badly that he is willing to cheat me out of more money huh? Well, he is in for a big surprise. Let him have it with all its trouble. You get what you pay for and also for your intentions.”
Very proud of himself for his negotiating skills, Fred paid the seller and took the mirror. Happily, the two of them, so excited with their newest purchase, made their way in the rain and mud, back to their car. The mirror was wrapped in bubble and tucked under Fred’s arm.
As they walked away from the seller’s tent, they heard a loud odd sound and a blood curdling scream of both fear and pain from the seller’s tent. Both turned to look back and were shocked at what they saw.
Apparently, a huge gust of wind caught up the tent in its energy and the tent, all the items, and the seller were thrown up into the air and crashed down into the stone fountain. Everything was shattered and the seller was face down in the water, now turning red from his blood. It was obvious he was dead.
Other sellers and the few other customers ran to his aid. Fred and Louise did not. They just kept walking to their car and as they did, Fred squeezed the mirror tighter as if to protect it. They both felt there was nothing they could do for the seller. Plus, more importantly, they had to get home, clean the mirror and hang it before the kids got home.
As they were unloading their purchases into the trunk of their car, Fred placed the mirror in the center of the back seat so it would be safe. When he did that, he got a strange unsettling feeling and felt ice cold. He looked up and saw Louise looking back at him. Apparently, she had the same feeling; he could see it in her eyes. Was he seeing fear and panic? She thought the same about Fred when she looked into his eyes. Then, both looked at the mirror.
Trying to break the odd feeling, Louise said out loud, “This cold and rain has me chilled to the bones and feeling kind of down. Let’s hurry and get home and have some tea.”
On the drive home, Louise kept turning and looking nervously at the mirror. It gave her a strange feeling whenever she looked at it. Fred could swear he heard it humming some unknown eerie tune…
