Hello my amazing friends !
This weekend was truly very busy for my husband since he did some major work on our house. We almost finished a huge renovation project and this weekend we had some awesome developments in the decoration department (which is my favourite one so far in the whole process). Our house starts to look more and more like a home and more and more like us (which is truly awesome !). Today, I just found this awesome and very beautiful bar cart from the 1950 and I truly hope I will be able to get myself an early Christmas present… Not only it will be perfect to push (yes it has wheels !!) all my wine bottles around the house but also it will add a truly unique accent to our decor…Wish me luck !!!

A great horned owl returns to the same nest in a sycamore tree every year near our home. A few years ago a falconer came, put up a ladder and removed an owlet. This is not illegal in Pennsylvania, but it caused such an outcry that the borough made an ordinance that wildlife was not to be disturbed or removed from the park.
Wikipedia: The great horned owl (Bubo virginianus), also known as the tiger owl (originally derived from early naturalists' description as the "winged tiger" or "tiger of the air"), or the hoot owl, is a large owl native to the Americas. It is an extremely adaptable bird with a vast range and is the most widely distributed true owl in the Americas.
Conservations status: Least Concern
Finally home! not that my summer so far has been boring (the last 2 months involved quite a bit of traveling), however there is no place like home. I took this one at the port of Aigina island in Greece, and I will say that it was a very challenging shot. I had with me only my small tripod, so I was pretty much layed on the ground and my camera wouldn't focus so I had to switch it to manual focus and tried to do it via the screen and not through the viewfinder. It was a lovely night, the blue hour more specifically, and the waterfront promenade at Aigina's port was quite busy. After the last ferry of the day departs from the island, they shut down the main street to pedestrians only so it's really nice for families to walk without being worried about traffic.

All of us want to go back in time when home was your whole family. For those that traveled distances to get home, we always had markers along the way that we knew exactly how long it would be for us to get there and see our parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles. For me it was the corner just down from the house I grew up in. Was always excited to be in that one spot for I knew in less than 5 minutes I would be knocking on the door. The good ol' days. Merry Christmas everyone.

No, not my home but the house of the miller of one of the mills we visited Friday during our scooter tour to Petershagen. Meßlinger Mühle, Petershagen, Ostwestfalen, Germany
So I have this cute little house rental on the water.
I setup the inside of the home exactly as I wanted it but the landscaping was a mess. Gree grass terrain, with weeds, that I'm not allowed to change. it just didn't fit especially since my place is directly on the water. I am no landscaper so my attempts were feeble.
In steps my best friend Lexi Morgan Grayson . In less than an hour I'm living on a paradise beach. Complete with a flamingo, sea gulls, palm trees an outdoor fireplace and.. sand yes sand not a grass and weeds.
Now... I'm home.

This morning I woke up early and looked a bit for the weather. For a few minutes, the sun appeared between the clouds before it became quite gray, time enough for a panorama.

The Former Convalescent Home of Saint Paul is a manificent civic building of the XVII century built for the convalescence of the sick at the neighboring Hospital de la Sant Creu (Hospital of the Saint Cross).
Even though the first stone was laid by the bishop Sentís on 26 March 1629, more than fifty years passed until the building was inaugurated, on 25 January 1680.
The Convalescent Home represented a significant improvement in convalescent care.
The figure of Saint Paul (1687) and the four gargoyles at the corner of the Cloister (1677-1679) are works of the baroque sculptor Lluis Bonifac

I adore birch trees especially when the leaves are new and the branches sway in the wind. The birch on the left and right of the drive are full of birds.
The Columbine is a new addition to Kipp's bee, bird and butterfly garden. Kipp chooses all of the flowers and I watch him do all the work ;D
