I've started to collect older, already processed images in a "Flickr waiting line folder" so that they are easier to find than in the depths of my Lightroom Catalogue. I'm sure you know the "problem". We collect so many images on our hard drive, some of which we don't like right away, and we only see their potential much later, others that we like from the start, but somehow there are so many other new photos competing for an upload so that many of these photos are left behind. I often go through LR and flip back to earlier images, and I think "Oh, this one is actually nice, I should process it and post it!", but it's the "wrong" day for that particular image in the Flickr world of theme-related groups; the next day I'll see another image and I'll think the same, and by the end of that (or any other) week I have usually forgotten about any of the archived images I thought "postable". And so on ;-) Hence the special folder, and this is the first one from that folder, captured (with the lovely 45mm F/1.8) back in July 2018 on my Mother's birthday at a nice Café and Restaurant, the "LuLa Deli & Grill", around the corner. Meanwhile I have quite many new images from a visit to the Olympic stadium this week, and I'm busy with processing these and will post a few soon, others later, so stay tuned :-)

And I'd like to send special greetings to my Flickr friends who live on the US West Coast and experience the horrible wildfires. I'm thinking of you, and I hope that the fires can be controlled soon, that it gets colder soon, and also that hopefully there will be rain, really anything that helps. Ich habe mir jetzt endlich mal einen "Flickr-Warteschlange"-Ordner angelegt, in den alle älteren, eigentlich bereits fix und fertig entwickelten Bilder wandern, die sonst in den Tiefen des Lightroom-Katalogs verschwinden. Zwar schaue ich regelmäßig auch die älteren Bilder durch, aber dann passt ein Bild nicht zum speziellen "Flickr-Tag" bzw. einem Gruppenthema, am nächsten Tag entdecke ich dann schon ein weiteres Bild, von dem ich denke "Das könnte ich ja auch mal zeigen" - und am Ende der Woche habe ich die Bilder nicht mehr auf dem Schirm. Und wieder von vorn. Ihr kennt das sicher ;-) Dieses ist nun das erste Bild aus diesem speziellen Ordner, aufgenommen im Juli 2018 mit dem feinen, kleinen 45mm F1.8 in einem netten Restaurant-Café, dem "LuLa Deli & Grill", bei mir um die Ecke. Nach so vielen Low-Key-Makros und Architektur- bzw. Landschaftsfotos dachte ich, dass es ruhig mal wieder ein nettes Blümchen sein darf. Zumal dann demnächst wieder viel Architektur kommen wird, da ich noch was vom Cube in petto habe und diese Woche auch mal wieder im Olympiastadion war und dort endlich wieder nach Herzenslust fotografieren konnte :-)

Altstadt Mikulov mit Schloss
Aus den Bergen um 500 – 680 Meter komme ich endlich auf tieferes Niveau und als Tagesziel erwartet mich die letzte tschechische Bastion vor der Slowakei, nämlich Mikulov (s.Karte rechts).
Und "Mikulov" ist dann der Knaller schlechthin. Der alte Stadtkern, den ich später durchstreife, die Gassen und das Schloss sind einfach umwerfend und für mich zum Verlieben.
Eins von meinen 3 vorgemerkten Hotels finde ich sofort, das Hotel Tanzberg. Mit 52 € bin ich dabei, das Frühstück ist zum Mitnehmen. Da das Hotel über ein eigenes Restaurant verfügt, beschließe ich, gleich hier zu essen und komme dabei fast ums Leben! Die Tomatensuppe ist nämlich derart scharf, dass ich nach Luft japse und dabei etwas in die Luftröhre bekomme. Natürlich will ich in der kleinen Nische des Restaurants nicht auffallen und versuche das Husten zu unterdrücken, was die Sache bedeutend verschlimmert. Ich kämpfe um Luft, kämpfe um das bisschen Leben was Gott mir geschenkt - werde röter als es eine Tomate jemals war, bin kurz vorm Kollaps, kralle meine Fingernägel vor Verzweiflung tief in den Holztisch ...kann dann aber in der allerletzten Sekunde das Ruder herumreißen und erhole mich langsam wieder.
Dem Tode von der Schippe gesprungen - oder mit einem Fingerzeig vom Lieben Gott: „ Bestelle nicht Sachen, die Du nicht übersetzen kannst ! " gehe ich anschließend optimistisch ans Erkunden, besuche den Burgberg "Kozí hrádek" und kann von dort weit ins Land blicken. Das deutlich sichtbare, heranziehende Gewitter wird noch einige Zeit brauchen, doch es wird am späten Abend die Stadt erreichen...
Invitation to Tea - Ever since I was young, I have been familiar with the health benefits with green tea. On my numerous trips to Asia I was able to deepen my knowledge of this delicious drink. Now in the warm season I enjoy sitting on the terrace very early in the morning , offering an incense stick and listening to the birds. A ritual that my son has also adopted.The pot is from Japan and I have owned it for over forty years. The cup was distributed by the German Lufthansa on flights to Japan on board of the planes.

Mornig ritual - In the warmer seasons, when the garden is back in full splendor, I love listening to the birds early in the morning at sunrise, watching the clouds passing by, and sacrificing an incense stick to the new day. I enjoy the calm, a Japanese or Chinese green tea. My thoughts become clear - I am free ....

Das Foto entstand bei einer herbstlichen Fototour mit meiner Nikon D300s und dem 'damals' neuen Makro Objektiv. Das Blatt lag auf einem Holztisch, die Sonne schien durch die Blätter eines Baumes und die 'Botschaft mit Herz' passt einfach perfekt :)

Invitation to tea - Although I drink green tea all year round, now is the best time again. I start my preparations at five in the morning. I water the plants and look after the cats. The birds have been singing their melodies for a long time. The smoke from the incense sticks drifts lightly through the garden and the white clouds drift across the sky.

Back then, when I saw it for the first time, I hated this picture. I don`t remember exactly, but I think it was taken in the morning, during holidays, somewhere in the south, maybe Greece, Tunesia, Turkey... ?
Selbst ein Foto, das jemand anderer von einem gemacht hat zu fotografieren, hat nichts zu tun mit "in den Augen der anderen" - ganz im Gegenteil, es ist das Bild, das ein anderer von mir gemacht hat in meinen eigenen Augen. Gibt man es aus als: in den Augen der anderen, dann gibt man letztendlich sein Eigenbild als Fremdbild aus. Selbst wenn dieses Bild ohne mein Wissen gemacht wurde und ich mich daher nicht selbst inszeniere, also nicht ein Gesicht aufsetze fürs Foto und das Foto also nicht zeigt, wie ich mich darstellen möchte, wie ich auf einem Foto zu sehen sein möchte, hat es dennoch nichts zu tun mit "in den Augen anderer". Es wäre Etikettenschwindel. Denn es ist meine eigene Fotografie eines Fotos, das ein anderer gemacht hat und nicht das Foto eines anderen von mir.

Unter einem Schauer eines Hofes waren blaue, weiche bezaubernde Pullover, Jacken, Mäntel aus feinsten Wollstoffen einer Designerin präsentiert. Es sah so schön aus diese edlen Teile an alten Holzbalken aufgehängt, und dazu ein altes Sofa mit rundem Holztisch mit Tischdecke und Gartenblumen.

Under a shower of a yard were presented blue, soft charming sweaters, jackets, coats of the finest wool fabrics of a designer. It looked so beautiful hung from these fine pieces of old wooden beams, and in front an old sofa with a round wooden table with tablecloth and garden flowers.

Mitten im Wald fand ich einen uralten, fest im Boden installierten Tisch, auf welchem sich diese herbstlichen Blätter ungezwungwen niederließen. Ich habe nichts arrangiert oder verändert!
Vor langer Zeit diente dieser - nebst den dazugehörigen Bänken - einigen Waldarbeitern als Pausentisch.
