New faces waiting to be finished. The dowels and faces are done......varnish, antiquing, crepe paper ad ribbons will make then complete.
The cat is molded from one of my favorite old molds. He sits on a wooden block that I painted and added some vintage halloween graphics. I crackled everything and added a hand-cut crepe paper trim at the bottom of his feet
He is so sneaky!!!

Winner picked on December 10th
I was attending a craft fair this weekend and told myself to make some fun small pieces....but don't buy any new supplies.
I have tons of stuff at home, and my goal was to use what I had and get creative. These snowmen had seen better days. They were vintage pieces that were missing parts, etc. Now they have a new life. The snowman on the right is still waiting to have his dome added and some bling to the base.

This was a hand molded/sculpted special design for an amazing friend. Many of my close Flickr friends will have seen this on his photo stream but I wanted to also pass this on to some of my fellow artists. Many of you are creative holiday artists and Joe's photos are nothing short of amazing and inspirational....he has the finest collection of vintage holiday items that bring back wonderful childhood memories. It is my hope that you will check out his photo stream - www.flickr.com/photos/cody2009/
and enjoy the memories. You will not be disappointed.
And on a side note, Joe is a dear, sweet flickr friend who always has an encouraging word.

For my close flickr friends, you all know my LOVE of all things "Santa".
I have been busy finishing up some new sculptures and ornaments for Christmas to celebrate Christmas in July on my Etsy site and have already been crazing the smell of evergreen! LOL
This little guy may have been the beginning of my Santa obsession.
I made him (along with 7 others) back when I was 8 years old out of styrofoam balls, felt, and glitter glue. It is tough to see in the picture, but there is a drapery hook in the hat that my mother used to hook them on the top of each corner of the curtains. She has done this every year since I made them....and that was a long time ago (I am 48 now - so 40 years make him my own antique). My mom irons the beard every year and puts them safely away for each new holiday year. My mom was nice enough to let me take one home....I plan on making the same one's with my daughter this year....and they will be on my curtains for many years to come as well.
