When hitch hiking, don't forget to take along your woman!
i've been getting into learning the nitty gritty features of Photoshop recently and thought I'd play around using a couple of images.
Here's how I made this image: Using 4 stock photographs; the woman, the car, the birds and the background I dumped them all into Photoshop as layers. I used the quick selection tool to cut out the woman from her original forest background then refined the edge of the cut. Next I blended the the birds with the sky by using the 'darker color' blending mode + transformed the size. If you're still with me, the sun flare was added using the Filter -> Render -> Lens Flare control. This was dropped onto a plain black background then the 'screen' blending mode was applied so the flare could be moved around blending in seamlessly with the background. After all this I cut the car out and dumped it some distance away to give this picture some perspective. Local brush adjustments were made at 10% to create a slight shadow at the base of the car.
The biggest challenge I found was to create perspective. Being the left-brain dominant person that I am, I find it naturally difficult to be creative. Practice makes perfect and I'll be practicing this stuff more. Hope this image inspires you to create something awesome today!

Decided to try something a little different.
Carefully placed this small model Maltese boat on a stream, obviously it was it not moving and filled it with meal worms.

October 2000 finds the cars of the Paradise Local hitching a ride to Missoula aboard the Gas Local. It was nice to see some head end cars for the trip east to Missoula.
For us, the 2021 Race to Mackinac was slower than we would have liked but it was still filled with moments that remind you why you sail. In almost windless conditions, our boat became a pit stop for migrating monarchs. Lasted may 30 minutes and then, poof, they took off again and the winds stated to fill in again.

Morocco is making progress in the task of cleaning up its swimming beaches. During the 2015-2016 season, the rate of compliance with the bathing water quality standards for Moroccan beaches reached 97%
22 beaches spread across Morocco this year received the Blue Flag award for the summer season 2016, awarded by the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Protection of the Environment chaired by Lalla Hasna and the International Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), this distinction is granted according to several criteria monitored throughout the season by a national committee. Inspections assessed the water quality, site management, the management of waste, awareness and environmental education.
Since the introduction in 2002 of the Blue Flag label the initiative has seen a vast improvement in beach management. In 2005 only five beaches qualified for the Blue Flag. Thanks to the "Clean Beaches" movement started in 1999, there are 87 Moroccan beaches entered for the 2016 summer season
