A funky, punky, more fun-loving shot from the Hispanic collection. I'm thrilled with how it turned out. This was one of the shots I had the strongest vision about, and I managed to get it looking just the way I wanted. The phrase on the wall is from... erm... a T.V. advert I saw for a gym. LOL.

This was an entry for the JCNY December Model Search. I wanted to do something funky and fun and sexy, but completely off the wall since everyone else I'd seen did a straight formal shot against the wall for this one. So I did! Check out that bikini. Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15 to October 15. On Friday, October 8 Harding Middle School teacher Johanys Alvarez's Spanish Heritage class held a lawn party to enjoy some paletas from La Michoacana and bingo to celebrate.
The Hispanic-Latino Student Association put together a food tasting event in the student center Wednesday, September 27th. Students enjoyed good food, company and singing! The event was held in conjunction with Hispanic-Latino Heritage Month.
AFGE headquarters celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a cultural program featuring a guest speaker from the CARECEN-Central American Resource Center and performances by a local poet and Salsa dancers.

Hispanic Heritage Month is when "America celebrates the culture and traditions of U.S. residents who trace their roots to Spain, Mexico and the Spanish-speaking nations of Central America, South America and the Caribbean" (U.S. Census Bureau, 2006).
