The Place des Vosges originally Place Royale, is the oldest planned square in Paris and one of the finest in the city.

Fogtober it became known as .

 

after a rare wet and stormy September we had thick coastal Fog with sunny afternoons

the flowers are actually a painting on the wall double-exposed in HIpstamatic with the fireplace

The Petit Palais (small palace)

 

It was built for the 1900 Exposition Universelle (universal exhibition), it now houses the City of Paris Museum of Fine Arts (Musée des beaux-arts de la ville de Paris).

 

The Beaux-Arts style Petit Palais was designed by Charles Girault and is around an octi-circular courtyard and garden,similar to the Grand Palais ..
