Nile Theatre, 1721 19th Street, Bakersfield, California. The Nile opened in 1906 as the Bakersfield Opera House. In 1924 it was renamed the Nile and then remodeled in 1927. In 1937 it received a new marquee and an Art Moderne renovation designed by S. Charles Lee. By the time the building was vacated in 1994, it had been divided into a twin. In July of 2006, the former Nile Theatre was reopened as the Nile Bar & Grill. By September 2017 it was home of the Hingepoint Church.

It's Done!

The physical build is done! And it turned out the old UCS X-Wing stand fits great with some minor adjustments.

It was a great model to work on, the different angels/panels gave me quite the challenge aswell as the wings. The wing have double hingepoints, which proved to be tricky.

The build has landing gear, boarding ramp, countermeasures, a bottom hatch.

There is room on the inside, but since the build is not really high, there is little room to create a proper interior. The inner structure is sturdy so you can lift the model without problems, and it can connect to the stand.

I have made an addition to the stand (not on the foto) to be able to place Luthen & Andor minifigs or a UCS plate.

Alltogether happy how it turned out!

X-144 "Heavenly Peace" Experimental Transforming Frame

I'm really happy with the way the dual-hingepoint break-action torso transformation turned out. The legs are a stopgap measure - I'll be ordering some straight Technic liftarms to replace those.

Biped mode is here, and tank mode is here.

This is my second attempt at a transforming frame; the X-112 "Midir" was my first attempt.

The Nile Theatre in Bakersfield, CA has been repurposed into a church.

UPDATE March, 2016: I just replaced my older photo with a new one. The comments, below, are referring to the restoration taking place seen in my old photo.
