I see galaxies in your eyes
I see heaven in your lips
and stars when you smile
& I feel a whirlpool of butterflies
whenever I think of you...
You are my ancients,
My true love.
You are my Himalayas.
there are days when i feel invisible,
traversing through different dimensions, without any destination.
days when the words are scattered across the space and the silence is hiding beneath the darkness.
days when this existence is a lot more than a speck of stardust.

A month ago I woke up to a white world all around me.
It had been snowing hard all night and in morning we woke to see the terrain had been painted all white. It was an effort to get out of the camp to do the morning chores. My tent partner can vouch for that.
Once I saw the beautiful scenery around me among falling snowflakes, I had to spend a lot of time taking pictures in freezing cold. Life in North is lively. The only place I feel alive.

"not many understand that mountains aren't always for healing. mountains are in fact a place where you feel the void comfortably. it gets sadder but sadness when looked at with kind eyes can make you feel feelings you will never want to give name to."

She glowed under the silver touch of her lover.
A strange sensation to be held so gently and yet so fiercely.
Little tensed today, as she was under siege by
few selfish humans wanting to invade her privacy, all here to quench their thirst for glory which she knew they will soon understand is a momentary gratification.
They are addicted like she is to his touch. Always seeking out gratification even if for a few moments because this is how it has been since she rose from sea. He had waited through centuries for her and will be there for ages, feeling her with his silver touch all through the cloudless nights.

I know i have things to do here but the mountains wants me home. I'll always have enough space left to be filled with Sunsets.
It was one of the most gruelling walks of my life. An unforeseen blizzard meant that I couldn't see anything more than 2 feet in front of me.
After every step, I had to clean the snow on my sunglasses, take a look around, test the snow using a trekking pole and then take the next step.
I thought I have lost my way.
I had decided to carry on alone to the base-camp as the small team I was with had decided to stop for a long lunch. I wanted to get down to base camp and have my favourite drink - Bournvita. I don't know what was it about Himalayas that I only liked to have bournvita over there.
I had trekked down a km when the weather gods got angry and within a span of a few minutes, I was hammered by the blizzard. I still remember how cold my hands and my face was. I couldn't feel my fingers. After walking for 10-12 minutes I thought that somehow I had missed the trail and I might be going away from base camp. So I trekked to the highest point I could see nearby and looked around. Luckily I had not gone far and I did recognize a plain stretch of snow I had passed around dawn.
It was a tough task to walk through the blizzard but ultimately after 2 hours of losing and finding the way, again and again, I reached the base camp and surprised the kitchen staff by arriving alone. They did fix me a bournvita straight away as I was very cold. After two glasses of warm heaven, I went to my tent to take out my camera to make some nice pictures.
This one was taken the next morning after a night where I was awake most of the time taking care of snow on top of the tent. I will be sharing a few more in coming days guys :) Have anyone of you ever been stuck in a snow blizzard?

You can't resist the ultimate temptation. The seduction between death and life with every step.
Glory is found where courage and bravery go hand in hand.

Last month on expedition while walking in a snowstorm for an acclimatization hike, I saw a moment to create a picture I have always wanted to take. Couldn't get the perfection I wanted but I am happy with this for now. Until days break of all to thoughts I've left at stake.

Back in 2016 I
read a few books on Alpinism and went on an expedition to Ronti Saddle. Ronti Saddle is a ‘mountain pass’ between two beautiful peaks Nanda Ghunti and Trishul.
It's 5200m from sea-level i.e. 17060 ft.
It was my second trek ever and my first expedition without any professional guide.
Support staff had three local people who were guide, cook and porters, playing the role as required. I myself was carrying around 20 kg load excluding my camera equipment.
Trekking more then 10km everyday was hard on legs as I came without any training.
On top of that I was having party with friends in Goa for a week. From Goa took a flight to Delhi - Train to Home - 2 hours sleep and then 14 hour shared jeep drive from Kathgodam to Lohajung. Never felt tired as I was going to be in Himalayas - only place where I feel alive.
I started from Lohajung and finished my journey at Sutol. :NOTE:
This picture was taken at beautiful meadow Bedini Bugyal in September 2016. This is where I captured my first ever shot of milky-way while being stalked by a mountain cat.
I saw so many camps there as Roopkund has been highly commercialized. With commercialization of any Himalayan trek comes lots of plastic waste as people from cities are always looking to have food they like. Major contribution is by Maggi.
This results in pollution of these beautiful places which destroys the local flora and fauna.
.
Whenever I visit I try to eat what the locals eat( usually it's potato) as that helps in reducing waste and carbon footprint. If you are someone who loves Himalaya, I request you to try to do the same and spread awareness among friends to only come here as trekkers not as tourists.
Together we can save the planet where we live.
That morning at lake was similar to a crimson wallpaper in a childhood book my rich cousins had,
I always thought that it's so simple,
horses grazing on a bank ,
their heads hanging low,
submerged in greed of the green,
everything else is just noisy madness.
All my life I will to go to places that Let loose the horses in my soul. It's a promise to remaining of my borrowed life.
Are you dreaming of scaling the iconic Ama Dablam Peak in the Himalayas? Nestled in the heart of the Khumbu region of Nepal stands a magnificent jewel of the Himalayas – Ama Dablam. Its name translates to "Mother's Necklace" in the local Sherpa language, a fitting title for this stunning peak that graces the skyline with its elegant, necklace-like ridges and dramatic spires. Here's a breakdown of what it might cost you to turn that dream into a reality.
