Mike Krause knows the challenges sales leaders and business professionals face every day, having sold well over $100 million in products and services in his twenty years of professional sales, consistently achieving high levels of success in sales, management and training. I have three different Sunova Surfboard Longboards in my quiver to capture every possible wave out there! I have been riding these boards since 2002, mostly in the South West of WA where I live, Yallingup is my home break and I’m fortunate enough to surf nearly every day of the year so I have had plenty of experimenting on different models.
9’2” Hangman – LH92
I find this board performs really well in small fat waves which can be found anywhere around the globe. As the bottom third of the board is basically the same as the Pro Model you can ride the tail like a shortboard pulling off great manoeuvres. As the center and nose of the board is wider than other Models, by having more area the Hangman is excellent for nose riding these waves as you can just keep on hanging there! This is a great board for those small fun days.

...It was at 4-5ft (Hawaiian) Impossible in Bali. Impossible is a standard Indonesian hollow fast down the line type wave.
To my surprise, the board was a little less buoyant than my other 7'2 of the same dimension. I am guessing it is due to the extra glass and the double veneer.
I was ecstatic after my first wave: (1) the board had significantly less drift down the face than my other board allowing to stay high without effort, (2) pumping down the line, the board was significantly faster, and (3) I came out. You don't come out too often
at Impossible!
I attribute the extra acceleration I felt to the parabolic stringer. It indeed felt as if the board was springing back and forth using the energy of the wave instead of dissipating it.

The Hangman is designed to surf off the tail like the Pro, yet it has the ability to hang on to impossible sections.
The Hangman comes with a Performance Thruster (92) or a Single Box Centre (96) set up, and a choice of Sunova Construction Options:
— All the width has been added to the front third of the board, which maintains outline curve through the middle for that “shortboard” feel.
— The bottom edge of the nose hardens to create good release as the nose hits the waterline while hanging.
— More flex built into the front third of the board helps it flatten during a nose ride.
— It can carry a nose ride onto much softer parts of the wave while still performing extremely well in small waves.
— The tail’s plan shape resembles the Pro, which is then combined with a wider nose.
Just when you think it’s all over and you have to step back or submarine, The Hangman kicks into gear and allows much longer hangtime.
