I was crawling round in the roof tonight installing new bits and pieces for my alarm system at home.
Came out totally filthy, and shot a few photos pre-shower, but this high key setup shot was my fave of them.
For this image, I wanted the near numbers on the dice to be clear with the far numbers blurred so I used f/4.0. I kept the ISO at 400 since I was in the shady backyard, and I used the shutter speed of 1/100th second to create the correct exposure for this image.
Edited in CS - high key effect using layers and screen blend modes.....then just erase the details back in
Hight Key Black and White
It is Hydrangea bloom time in our yard. I took some photos outside but it is too breezy. So, brought some blooms inside. I put them in an old alka seltzer blue bottle. I used a Lightroom Preset to converst the image to B&W. Then brought it into Photoshop so I could clean up the background. Brought the image into NIK Silver Efex and applied the High Key recipe to the image. Brought the image back into Photoshop and added the two borders.
