there is nothing like a highly for dark eyed person, those eyes are undercover by their dark colors most of the times, but you can't lie to photographer, we see....everything ;)

20150727. A highkey shot.

Taken in a really cramped corner of my bedroom. We decided to play with the glitter we'd bought earlier to try in a different shot.

There's a door with a white sheet pinned over it 1m behind Heather, which it is lit by a bare 430EXII. Then the main light is another 430EXII in a 60cm softbox about 1.5m directly infront of her - with me perched next to the stand in the only available space, trying not to knock it over. I'm shooting with the lens top practically touching the base of the lightbox - there wasn't room for anything else.

More space might have been nicer to avoid quite so much spill off the backdrop.

This is one of my favorite macro shots, I deliberately used f2.8 for paper thin DOF, to blur foreground and background

Attempt at high key photos

Experimenting with highkey lighting. I'm not sure if I got it right or not. What do you think?

Model: Yasmine Moghimi

MUA: Kayla Houtari-Harris

I think Yasmine's pose and expression work well here. The jewellery is also highlighted. (Don't we all order drinks at bars this way)?

For my highkey faves of late: Inkyblack, jimcrackcorn, notcatherinezeta...

A High Key portrait - although I always end up adding in some shadows!
