Yesterday Coleen and I met the lovely Robert Elia at High Park in Toronto. The weather was perfect and we got lots of great shots. Robert and Coleen discussed Photoshop and I just tried to make sense of it, but didn't really! I have learnt so much these past couple of weeks so hopefully you will see some improvement in my work!

Thank you, macro lens and photography, for opening my eyes to the wonders of the small world that surrounds us. High five, Seastar!

Stormy conditions in the west end of Antelope bring snow to the surrounding mountains and dramatic light all around.

I cut across highway 138 often to access the Eastern Sierra. It seems there is always great light when I pass through.

This Western Sandpiper walks over the muddy banks at high tide, looking for food. It's migrating through Homer to the Yukon Delta for breeding this summer.

No stranger to these rails, a former Soo Line SD60 curves through the beautiful bluff country of the northern Mississippi River watershed just south of Lansing, Iowa with a train of loaded auto racks bound for Kansas City.

Reminded me of when I used to ski. The mountain often didn't look so high or so steep or so far!

We chose to walk the dirt path just off to the right which takes you through some woods, crosses a little brook and eventually leads you to the Temple of Love and the Rock Garden!

High Pike is one of the most northerly of all the lakeland fells and is located in a vast area known as ‘Back o’Skiddaw’ which is quite unlike the rest of the Lake District – a lonely wilderness where you can walk all day and hardly see another soul. It’s a wonderful place
