Got my second Hitech Reverse Grad today.
Much better.
Huge, huge thanks go out to the people over at Teamwork.
Moses went through the filter and hand picked one for me.
Customer services to the max right there.
This ones much, much better.
Horizons pretty much dead straight, as it should be.
No scratches, just a bit of dust, as per anything that comes through my office.
Theres still a few flaws mind:
The actual gradient really favours the edges of the filter. Its much, much darker, possibly a quarter, maybe half a stop.
I don't think it should be too bad though.
Theres a bit of bleed on the edges; the dye seems to just run off onto the clear section, but its right at the edges, and hopefully won't be in shot.
I get the feeling there could be some magenta casts put out by this baby.
I had a flash behind some white paper, with the filter on top. When over exposing, it goes a lovely purple...
As I'll only be using it for sunsets and sunrises [if I ever wake up for one], it shouldn't be too much of a problem, but could be something to look out for if you get one.
*edit* Just tested against a plain wall in my office which isa sort of cream colour, DEFINITELY a lot of magenta in there... The gradded part of the wall's a sort of... raspberry colour...
Over all, I'm satisfied. Still not 100% on the quality, but I'm gonna keep hold of it.
I'm at least 200% satisfied with Teamwork though, for being absolutely stars when it came to replacing this.
Much love goes out to them.
Hitech... still not back in my goodbooks yet.
Gonna wait until I've taken some shots with it, the proof is in the pudding, as they say.

OK, so there has been a lot of debating going on over who's filters have what colour casts, blah, blah, blah.
My test here demonstrates that, if there is any cast, it is most likely due to the Infra red radiation.
In camera's with weaker IR filters, this infra red radiation builds up considerably, and dominates the exposure - the result, well take a look above.
Canon's EOS 350d demonstrates the effectiveness of it's IR blocking filter. Producing an essentially cast-less image with a 3.2s exposure.
On the other hand, the Nikon shows a weak IR filter (for whatever reason in manufacturing), which leaves it suffering from a horrid red cast after a 3s exposure.
Of course, any camera's IR filter, or lack of, can be compensated for by using high-quality, high-cost, neutral density filters which incorporate IR blocking.
