Apart of swallows, eagles, vultures and wild goats, at the peak of La Maroma (the highest of Malaga province, 2069 m AMSL) we met with this here nice guy. The woman tried and fed him a couple of nísperos - and lo if they haven't become the best friends ever :)
PS. If you take a good look at the bacground, you'll see the long range of African Rif mountains looming above the horizon. Quite a view, I can tell you.
Hi Mom... Happy Birthday!
October 18th, 2007 my Mom would have turned 80.
I miss her terribly and so does my Dad, family and friends.
She taught me to appreciate nature and to always be kind to others.
... I love you more
We were looking for Petoskey stones on a beach north of the Mission Point Lighthouse at the end of Old Mission Point Peninsula in Northwestern Michigan (North of Traverse City) and came across someone’s work of art.
Thank you very much for your visits, comments, faves, and invitations - they are all very much appreciated!

Some random Groynes at Happisburgh on the North Norfolk Coast UK, If you have ever been to this location you'll know it's littered with old sea defences and there are shots to be had everywhere. This particular set just seemed to jump out and say 'Hi'.
On a cold February day, the Nevada Northern's Steptoe Valley Flyer passes a wreck train at Hi Line Junction just north of Ely, Nev. This scene was taken during the Nevada Northern Railway's annual winter photo session. For more information, visit www.NNRy.com.
No need for comments - just popping in to say hi - I'm still out of town and haven't had any free time for the internet - I look forward to catching up with everybody when I get back.
Have a fabulous week - I miss you!
Soo Line train 204 pauses for a crew change at Portage, Wisconsin on June 20, 1988. Note the scissor phone in the operator bay. Things in Portage look much different now.
Taken in Lisbon, Portugal
I used to be afraid of harsh mid-day lights. Not anymore >:) !

Hey friends :-) This is my new favorite star shot. It's grabbed me deep inside since it first showed up on the back of my camera. It's different for me because usually I am looking for things to ADD into the frame, not shoot with an empty landscape. But, at the top of South Sister, in a snow-filled crater there was literally nothing around! So, I tried some shots out and then was amazed to discover I loved the emptiness of it.
New "style" for me, but I like it. I'm not finished processing it, but I really wanted to get a version up online for you to see. What do you think?
This is shot on the new Canon 1Dx, ISO 8000!
Also, heads up- on the trip this photo was taken, we did a big shoot off with the Canon DSLR's to find out which one is the best night shooter. Check out sample images, notes and winner here:

We're Here is visiting Guitar!
I can't write music... and I haven't practiced in a while... and I can't play barre chords... BUT I did take a photo with a guitar!
Hi Flickr! I'm alive and making art... but I'm not completing a 365 this year. I fell off the train at the end of February, I don't think the project is something for me right now. I have so many hobbies and have been focusing on my physical health this year. Between those two things, I don't have as much time as I would like to create a photo each day. I know quick snaps and daily activities are great (I love seeing them from others!) but it's not something that I like to do for myself. I'm going to try and be more active here on Flickr though!
