"...In-keeping with the previous "special-series" production cars, the Enzo's production was limited to just 399 examples, with the 400th example being gifted to Pope John Paul II. Naturally all cars were instantly accounted for, with values of Enzos never dropping to anywhere near the original sales price of less than £500,000.
This particular example is quite literally the only example in the world to have been finished in naked Carbon Fibre. Originally delivered in Rosso Corsa, this car was sent back to Maranello to have the refinishing done in period. The interior Carbon Fibre, and Engine bay have been finished in Rosso Carbon, and the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail make this car a sight to behold..."

"The Ferrari 488 Pista is powered by the most powerful V8 engine in the Maranello marque’s history and is the company’s special series sports car with the highest level yet of technological transfer from racing.
In fact the name, meaning ‘track’ in Italian, was chosen specifically to testify to Ferrari’s unparalleled heritage in motor sports.
Technically, the Ferrari 488 Pista encompasses all of the experience built up on the world’s circuits by the 488 Challenge and the 488 GTE..."

A view taken 59 years ago today on 31 July 1965 from Railway Walk Worcester. All engines had name and number plates removed in this scene of Worcester Motive Power Depot (85A). Hall Class 4-6-0 No.7909 Heveningham Hall and No.6964 Thornbridge Hall are seen amongst the other unidentified engines stored on shed. The shed was to close on the 31 December 1965. Nowadays any view from Railway Walk is totally obscured by trees and bushes!
"Ferrari saved its finest engineering and performance magic toward the end of the production run of the company's seductively curvaceous, mid-engined 458. The 458 Speciale was, quite simply, the Italian automaker's fastest, naturally aspirated V-8-powered model of all time. Stunning driving dynamics and highly polished controls made the car equally at home on the race track or public roads..."

"After its introduction in 2002, the Ferrari Enzo instantly became the most desirable automobile on sale at the time, and it is easy to see why. Upping the ante in terms of both performance and visual panache over the F50, the Enzo brought Ferrari forth into the 21st century, setting the bar higher once more and proving to competitors like Porsche and Lamborghini that their cars would continue to be the industry benchmark. Using the best possible technology derived directly from the company’s highly successful Formula One program, the Enzo brought race car performance to a platform suitable for use on the road by the privileged few..."

"The Koenigsegg Agera R was produced between 2011 and 2014 and 18 examples were produced during that time.
The Agera R built upon the features and functionality of the Agera with new, unique solutions to enhance both performance and visual appearance even further.
Enhancements included: visible carbon on the front bonnet and bumper, new front side winglets, an all-new Aero exhaust, increased engine power with a raised RPM limit.
Koenigsegg was the first Hypercar manufacturer to take steps toward green technology with the release of the biofuel CCXR in 2007. The Agera R, based on the critically acclaimed Agera, follows in the footsteps of the CCXR as it also runs on biofuel.
The Agera R has an upgraded fuel and engine management system that allows it to run between 95 Octane and E100 biofuel, or any mix in between. The engine management system senses the fuel mixture and can adjust the engine’s operation ‘on the fly’..."

"In the late 1990s, Porsche had begun developing a new prototype to replace its Le Mans-winning LMP1-98 and 911 GT1 racers. The new Carrera GT would be driven by a normally aspirated, wide-angle V-10, based on the engine built for the Arrows F1 team. After prototype testing was already underway, two events occurred that would send the project in a different direction. First, the FIA abruptly changed its prototype rules, and then a world-wide economic slowdown forced Porsche to reconsider its priorities. Management realized it needed to quickly bring a new sports-utility vehicle to market. The Carrera GT’s engineers at Leipzig were transferred to what would become the hugely successful Cayenne, a model that returned Porsche to financial health. With its future assured, Porsche moved the Carrera GT back to the front burner as a high-performance road car..."
