Still Here
by Langston Hughes
I been scared and battered.
My hopes the wind done scattered.
Snow has friz me,
Sun has baked me,
Looks like between 'em they done
Tried to make me
Stop laughin', stop lovin', stop livin'--
But I don't care!
I'm still here!

We’re Here! in a white-out.
This is a composite of an old shed I just photographed, several really old snow scenes from Colorado, and some weathered farm equipment provided by jus tt for fun. Mike is hosting this week’s “Treat This” challenge at Kreative People. You can see the original shot in the first comment box below.
Entered in the “Winter Reds” contest at The Award Tree.
Here’s wishing you lots of good health. and happiness in the years to come. Enjoy!

♫♪♫... Good trucks, they'll run forever
If you keep oil in 'em and you treat 'em right
A good woman holds you together
She'll stick with you for the rest of your life
Good buddies will always come running
Got your back no matter what
But good dogs don't live long enough ... ♪♫♫
Here can I sit and dwell on beauty, my thoughts accompanied by the chorus of birdsong, illuminated by sparkling sunlight.

Another great performer at the Canadian Raptor Conservancy - Bruce !!
Bruce is a gorgeous Bald Eagle that flies wonderfully across the pond and his wings touch the water gently and that creates a great effect of the water trail behind him. He was really marvellous and very very big :)
You will have a feeling of awe when you stand next to him !!
Here's a photo of the iconic lighthouse bathing in the early sunlight, I got there by 5:30am and had the lighthouse all to myself and one other photog. Walking around and finding this small puddle, I was super happy with even just a partial lighthouse reflection.
Many thanks to your visit, favs and comments; wishing you a wonderful holiday season!

Here in Brazil we are already counting down to the summer, me and family countdown to vacations. And in this vacation, in early December, we will cross the continent and land in Portugal to know the land of the discoverers. Enjoy the cold weather, and enjoy good Portuguese cuisine and beautiful cities.
* I'm grateful for visit, favs and comments of my photo.
We're not gonna get any younger
Let's slow it down
Waste some time in the here and now
It's not over yet
We'll get older and realize
The little things we did to kill some time
Became the greatest highlights

I have been complaining over the years our Northern Mockingbirds are Bossy and chasing all the birds from the feeders,
Have not seen them lately, perhaps thats why for 5 minutes it was lifting its wings as to tell me here I am!
Taken from 50 feet away on top of our Arborvitae's.
I thought this guy was going to land right on top of my Jeep, where I was sitting, lol. Amazing how close they look when viewing through a 200-500mm lens, lol.

A little blue tit (cyanistes caeruleust), all of 10 grams, exploring the newly flowering spring catkins. The catkin walk!
Many thanks for your kind comments, which are always appreciated.
Dragon on Tudor Royal arms in King's College Chapel, Cambridge.
King's Chapel is festooned with the Royal arms of Henry VII and Henry VIII. Their message proclaiming Tudor majesty and power could never be overlooked.
The arm's two beast supporters are a dragon at left and a greyhound at right. The dragon, the traditional Welsh dragon, was used on Henry Tudor, later King Henry VII's, banner. It was notably displayed at the Battle of Bosworth in 1485 where the Yorkist Richard III was defeated and killed.
