Begin deze maand is het handelsverdrag tussen de EU en Japan, ook de EU-JAP Economic Partnership Agreement genoemd, in werking getreden. Daarmee is de grootste handelsovereenkomst die de EU ooit met een derde land heeft gesloten een feit. Het verdrag omvat nagenoeg een derde van het wereldwijde BBP en bijna 550 miljoen mensen. Het verdrag biedt Nederlandse en Europese bedrijven veel mogelijkheden.
Bijna 90% van de invoertarieven voor goederen is tot nul teruggebracht, en dit gaat naar bijna 100%. Daarnaast is een groot aantal non-tarifaire barrières afgeschaft. Ook is vanaf heden de Japanse markt voor dienstverleners vanuit de EU veel toegankelijker. En om het handelen met Japan te vergemakkelijken is speciaal voor het MKB een EPA helpdesk in het leven geroepen.
Om de voordelen van het EPA breed uit te meten, is donderdag 7 februari voor bedrijven een informatiebijeenkomst. Deze bijeenkomst wordt geopend door de Minister voor Buitenlandse Handel en Ontwikkelingssamenwerking Sigrid Kaag en is mede georganiseerd met voorzitter Hans de Boer van VNO/NCW, in samenwerking met RVO en NLinBusiness.

OK, today was another session to show Josh [a workmate with a new 600D] a few techniques.
Nick, our friendly [he is friendly!] helpdesk guy kindly donated his modeling services.
Canon 7D + EF70-200mm f/4L IS USM
1/250, f/16, ISO100 @ 169mm
Shot outside in full sun with slight shading from a tree. The wooden wall was around 3 metres behind the subject.
2 Canon speedlites [430EX & 430EXII] on light stands; one to camera left and one to camera right around 1.5 metres from the subject. Angled at 90° from the subject and slightly higher than head height.
Both speedlites Triggered using Yongnuo RF-602's & both set to manual, 35mm zoom and 1/1 power.
The idea: to kill a lot of the ambient light [hence the small aperture and high shutter speed] to give Nick a dramatic, edgy look. I was careful not to blow any of the detail on his face.
Processing: Very little really. In ACR increased the colour temperature to 6500. Added a touch of clarity. In Photoshop, cropped and straighten to taste. Ran a action I created from a tutorial I watched on Kelby Training. It was a photographer called Calvin Hollywood and he calls it "FAD" which stands for "Freaky Amazing Details". It's an amazing process which brings out great detail in an image without the dreaded halos.

There was a Velo Birmingham gathering in Victoria Square, the day before the race around Birmingham and the Midlands, which is taking place on Sunday 12th May 2019.
Many roads will be closed, buses diverted etc.
It will go towards Coventry and through Solihull. Through Warwickshire and Worcestershire too!

Advies
Op dit moment hebben een paar duizend klanten nog geen verbinding met internet. Geldt dit ook voor u, dan zou een herstart van het modem de verbinding kunnen herstellen.
Wijzig niets in de instellingen van de modem.
Haal het modem van de stroom af door de stekker uit het stopcontact te halen. Wacht één minuut. Het modem is nu uit.
Steek de stekker na één minuut weer in het stopcontact. Het modem start weer.
Laat het modem zelf rustig starten. Dit kan even duren. De lampjes op het modem moeten om de beurt gaan branden.
Wacht tot het modem is gestart en probeer of internet weer werkt. Nog steeds geen internet? Heb dan nog even geduld. Het modem probeert twee uur lang contact te maken met internet. Het komt voor dat het eerst niet lukt, maar later wel.
Hebt u daarna nog steeds geen verbinding, bel dan met onze helpdesk op telefoonnummer 020-3987666.
Update
De werkzaamheden van dit weekend hebben ook gevolg voor de BDSL-verbindingen. In de nacht van vrijdag op zaterdag zijn er BDSL-verbindingen tijdelijk off line gegaan. Ook tijdens de komende nachten kunnen BDSL-verbindingen tijdelijk uitvallen. De verbinding herstelt zich automatisch; mocht dit niet het geval zijn volg dan de bovenstaande herstartprocedure.
