Toy Project Day 3673

Lincoln, stop making so many tanks!

The Hellcat is one of my favorite AFVs, so it was just a matter of time before I built one. The turret is mostly Erik's design, with a couple tweaks. The front sloping is also inspired by Erik. Everything else is pretty much my design, I'm rather pleased with how this one came out.

Leave some suggestions please! :)

God bless!

Sense tank destroyers are suddenly allowed in the build competition I am entering this as my final entry. I saw 3 others so idk.

This is a long exposure on the Hellcat Trail on Plum Island. Part of this trail extends out into the marshes that are so prevelant Plum Island.

As with most of my models, the undercarriage of the Hellcat can be retracted. These pictures also clearly show that the wings are swept back slightly.

The M18 was introduced in 1944 and saw service across Europe, Italy, and even the Pacific. It's speed and armament made it very effective, even against heavy tanks like the Tiger. The Hellcat was so successful, it is still used today in reserve by the Venezuela military. It's one of my personal favorite vehicles, so I've wanted to build one for a while and finally got around to it. Some design credit to TLPerishing. Decals by Cooper Works. Also, this is for my WWII Vehicle Best Brickr against Tomcat Bobcat. Enjoy!

Here we are! Let me know what you think. Pretty happy with the turret here.

Enjoy!

EDIT: Oh snap and credit once again to MJ for the awesome front wedge slope idea.

I was getting on the highway when I spotted this. Got off next exit, lol! Only the second Charger Hellcat I've spotted. They seem to be rare.

At the 2008 "Wings Over Houston" airshow.

So I built a Hellkitty. Inspired by Lincoln, I just loved his and it got me thinking on my own. I tried to go 100% 1/45 on this, which would be just the first time I've done that. I'm pretty happy with the different curves I was able to create while maintaining the scale. Let me know what you think!

Oh, and I'll try to post a YouTube video on this sometime in the next few days. I'll update the desc once I do.

Enjoy!

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat in Delmenhorst.

According my own experience this airplane fully deserves both parts of its name.

Had never tried a Hellcat before in the brick. We liked Nick's design, so I went with it. I did not like the 2x2 dishes so I went bigger. A lil too big, but I like it. Changed the turret a bit. As a finishing touch I added some of Jeff's stickers.

Credit to Nick for the original design.

A striking image from Storm Arwen which resembled a Hellcat about to devour the lighthouse.
