Aerial view looking South. DTLA as the sun goes down. It was just about magical, being in the air as the lights of the buildings went on the cars and streetlights started to glow. Such an amazing experience. Luck played a huge role with the clouds and weather. I am really looking forward to the coming winter weather. If L.A. had a sunset season it would be November to January. Most of the year is spent with sunshine and cloudless blue skies. How boring, I know. Color in the sky, as the sun bounces of the bottoms of the clouds, is so very welcomed right about now. Fingers crossed for free time. Eyes to the Weather Stations. Good luck to all the cloud chasers out there.
The Heli-Pod was a small, fast and highly manoeuvrable synchropter. Its primary use was as a search aircraft, equipped with its radar and spotlight. Whilst it was too small to perform rescues, the Heli-Pod could quickly find people in distress. Its jolly appearance brought a bit of joy to many a bedraggled sailor as he bobbed around in the sea.
