This is me. I will also be blogging this journey.

I'm not doing well with my diabetes. I don't want to have shots everyday so I'm on a mission. The mission - to lose 31 pounds and get my diabetes under control with the diet, exercise and oral medication. This is my first photo of documentation. Weight is 181 and wear a size 14 pants and large shirt. My goal is 145 to 150 pounds, size 8-10 pants and medium shirt. And a fasting blood sugar of less than 100.

I am also worried about breast cancer. My doctor found some "thickening of the tissue" and I'm waiting to be scheduled for futher testing. I'm really worried and concerned. So, I guess my overall goal is to get healthy and live!

Each wave of color represents the vibrant yet challenging paths one faces on the road to healing.

True Story

 

I went through hell and back with my health.

 

Growing up in America, adopting that typical horrible diet of process sugars and packaged foods, my body would eventually break down.

 

Doctors wanted me to take pills and accept I would have illness for the rest of my life 🙈

 

I didn’t believe it. I spent enough time with yogis and healers and I believed in the body’s natural ability. Sometimes, it just needs a little more help.

 

I had horrific skin issues on my face, lips, neck, shoulders, wrists and palms. Actually looked like a monster 😓

 

I had hormonal imbalances, irregular moon cycles, constant belly bloating, chronic fatigue, an inability to focus and boy was I moody

 

I was studying gut health and was destined to figure these issues out. I locked my self in the house for 4 months detoxing, flushing, taking mineral baths, meditating and eating steamed veggies.

 

I was a serious case ️‍♀‍

 

But then the transformation happened. I balanced my digestive system which brought clarity to my mind and comfort finally in the tummy after years of struggle. My skin cleared up and my hair began to grow again.

 

Grateful for journey, the learning, the teachers and healers who supported me thru the process.

 

To me, that was a true success story!

Kirurgisen sairaala was a maze. Even before the scan, I was already lost. Hallways curved, stairwells disappeared, and this map only added to the confusion.

 

The weight of what I had just heard was heavier than the test itself heavier than the adrenaline i was injected with, heavier than the nasal anesthesia that burned so deep I could swear I felt it sear through the back of my skull.

 

It was supposed to be a simple nasal scan something to understand why I had been struggling to breathe for months. I had no reason to expect anything serious.

 

A small, unfamiliar mass. A growth. Something that looked like a tonsil, somewhere it shouldn’t be. The word tumor was said. Quietly, but clearly enough to echo.

 

A biopsy was taken and I was scheduled for Radiofrequency Ablation until the results come out.
