Navy Kelly Elmore, Chief of Staff, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) along with members of the MHS GENESIS Team kicked off the pre-Go Live events on March 24, 2023, with handing out cupcakes to the staff and patients in America Zone, Bldg. 19. The cupcakes were donated by the Oakleaf Club of Greater Washington, DC, represented by Tara Cirks, Shannon LaBarbera, Jolie Scott and Megen Berzenthy.
MHS GENESIS is the modernized patient electronic health record portal, managed by the DoD Healthcare Management System Modernization Program Management Office under the Program Executive Office, Defense Healthcare Management Systems. Preparation for the changeover to MHS GENESIS at WRNMMC began in early 2022 and will go live hospital-wide on March 26, 2023.
