Dex is a bit of a storm tracker since his outdoor days. Here is his serious look, which he exhibits when a storm is about 10 minutes away. He's been with me long enough now to understand he's an inside cat and doesn't need to take cover.

is not happy with me leaving for Scotland. He's usually a great model and enjoys posing for me, but not this day. He refused to make eye contact. Maybe he knows something is up.

 

It's been a while since I posted a picture of Cooper, and felt appropriate to make it my last post before leaving for Scotland photo tour.

On the road to my mother-in-law's house between San Marcos and Wimberley, there is a house with this intriguing sign on the fence facing the road. I'd love to know the story behind it. Our best guess, given that the owner of the house keeps donkeys, is that a neighbour probably coveted one of his asses, stole it then lied about what happened.
