Cotswolds Hailes Abbey is two miles northeast of Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, England. Originally built in 1246 little remains of the abbey.

57602 crosses the Hayle viaduct on the Paddington to Penzance Sleeper. I set the shot up on my tripod with 15 minutes to wait for the train. 5 minutes later the tripods legs were wet. I moved, and then had to move again as the water threatened my shoes. Amazing how quickly the tide comes in
in Hayle Harbour - the one on the left was quite good at it, the one of the right was still learning.
I've always loved exploring the caves around Cornwall. This one looks out onto the Hayle Estuary.

I could not get the whole of this rainbow in the shot so had to take in two frames. The railway line to St. Ives borders the Hayle river estuary.
A week in Cornwall capturing some beautiful images in a variety of stunning locations. Situated on the opposite side of St Ives Bay, Hayle is famed for it's three miles of golden sand. The beaches start at the mouth of the estuary ending at Godrevey Point with the lighthouse on an island about 50 metre out to sea.
7820 'Dinmore Manor' works past Hayles Abbey Halt, with the delayed 1731 Toddington to Cheltenham RC on Saturday afternoon of the gala. If it had been on time then the shadows from the trees would probably not have been creeping over the line.

Luckily the timings for the sleeper are quite slack, I was easily able to beat the train to Hayle for a second bite of the apple. 57311 crosses the viaduct over Foundry Square - the wonky piers evident from this aerial view.
