It was 10pm. I was supposed to go to bed. 7 hours later, I finished building this 1:1 scale Brownie Hawkeye.
This is my first personal project since Iron Builder. Functions include a spring-loaded shutter button and pull-up bulb switch.

This is the latest technology from Quicksilver Ind.: the "HawkEye".
The key feature of this sight is that it uses GPS technology to exchange information about targets' positions between other HawkEyes being used in the same unit. Red arrows show up on the lateral margins of the sight's view, pointing towards enemy targets that other users are aiming at or have marked as a primary target to engage.
Quicksilver Ind. produces top of the notch firearms made for easy and cheap mass production, while maintaining very high quality. Our firearms will always be fully ambidextrous, two toned, operator-friendly and accessory-friendly.

I was very honoured to be asked to create Hawk-Eye for one of my favourite family members. It will be given to her as a gift, and I hope she is very pleased with it.
It was my first posable character like this, heavily inspired by the work of my friend Vincent Kiew.

The Hawkeye carrier three crew-members: a pilot and co-pilot in the cockpit and three radar operators in the aft cabin. The latter are seated in swivel chairs, facing forward for take-off and landing and facing radar displays mounted on the side of the cabin to port when in flight. Each has a small porthole.
The engines are mounted parallel to the fuselage, despite the wings being angled. The lower section of the wings, inboard of the engines, however, is built perpendicular to the fuselage. Only the upper and outer parts are angled.

The decals are my own design, the bow is modified from a LEGO bow. Everything else is LEGO.

From this past Summer's AOU is Hawkeye. I upgraded the torso, legs and gluded a quiver to his back. "Clench up Legolas"

Red Tailed Hawk
Took another nature lunch break and found out the Rivertrail Nature Center is just around the corner and they were open. Fortunately this hawk got really close to me and let me have a portrait session with her.
(Not! She was in a cage :))
