A Fleet Week Saturday aboard the USS Nimitz.
The day began at San Francisco Airport, where I boarded a US Navy C-2 transport plane at sunrise for a flight out to the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz, which was cruising 50 miles off the California Coast. After landing on the flight deck, we disembarked for a tour while the ship sailed toward San Francisco to participate in the Fleet Week "Parade of Ships." Upon clearing the Golden Gate Bridge, the Nimitz launched three F-18s from the flight deck as we cruised past Fisherman's Wharf. From there we continued onward, under the Bay Bridge to an anchorage in the middle of the San Francisco Bay, just off South Beach. And then I had to go home.
It was a very remarkable day. Many thanks to the US Navy for extending the invitation, and the kind sailors who showed us around their ship!
Pictured is bus 141 from Hawkeye Stages, a 2000's MCI J4500 shown here at the Hampton Inn in Maumee, Ohio.

"The Kodak Brownie Hawkeye is a Bakelite box camera taking 6x6cm images on 620 film, made in the USA and France by Kodak, between 1949-1961[1]. There were also examples labelled "Brownie Fiesta" and "Brownie Flash". The original design did not have a flash facility, but the Flash model was added in 1950 and called the "Brownie Flash" in France and the "Kodak Brownie Hawkeye Flash" in the USA. Earlier models of the camera have a metal film advance knob, later models have a knurled plastic knob."

I was able to determine that my camera was manufactured in 1957!
Another shot from the Birds of Prey Exhibition at the Bombay Hook 75th Anniversary Celebration. They had two hawks in the exhibition - a Broadwing and a much larger Red Tail.

Okay the first picture of me yet to appear on our blog. I love this hat and I have been wearing around all weekend. I added a felt ivy leaf patch (we added a tutorial on our site with instructions on how to do this). We've put the pattern up in our Etsy shop. blogged
Shot at the lake where went to shoot an annual rowing competition on Saturday. Beautiful sunny morning but none of my photos of the event came out very good, much worse than last year under the same conditions so not posting any. Very frustrating, all lacked focus and detail and exposures were way off.
