This is the Kodak Brownie Hawkeye Flash Model; it is a box type camera which I believe was produced from the mid 1950's to early 1960s. The camera shown is a later model due to its plastic advance knob.
Although the camera as originally designed for 620 film (which is no longer made), it works quite well with a standard roll of 120 film. Despite a common misconception about this camera, no modifications to the spool and no re-pooling of the film are required. A 120 film spool fits rather nicely in the reserve part of the film chamber. However you do need an original 620 spool for the take-up. (Remember to ask the photofinisher to return the spool!)
On a standard roll of 120, you will get 12 shots; the frames on the negative square 6x6. For this camera I would recommend using a slower speed of film; I find that Fujifilm Reala 100 ISO on a nice bright sunny day works quite well.
You can get some pretty sharp pictures with this camera; it makes for very nice landscape pictures. This camera is relatively common and will typically go for about $10 to $15 (depending on the condition) It is a nice camera to get into box camera collecting and/or medium format photography.

This is Hawkeye. I only had him for a year. Although we vaccinated him against feline leukemia, he'd already been exposed. A year later he was full of tumors. He was a great cat. And, even though he was both and outside and inside cat he was remarkedly white. He was a great hunter and very playful. I miss him a lot.
Hawkeye is always right next to me...I lay down on the couch while the hamburger was browning, and of course he snuggled right up. Snuggling and the scent of hamburger...sweet doggie dreams.

Depot 11 arriving back at Naval Air Station North Island after a post-maintenance check flight. The Naval Depot at North Island does heavier repairs and maintenance that the squadrons don't do. Once the work is verified, the aircraft will be sent back to a fleet squadron.
More Hot Toys figures have joined my collection such as Spider Man 3 New Goblin, Thor and Hawkeye, Chitauri Commander and Foot Soldier set from The Avengers, Jake Sully from Avatar plus three bootleg narrow shoulder figure for custom works. To complete my Avengers collection, Loki, Fury and Coulson are on their way at the moment. Oh... Can’t wait to see them!
My family gave me a new Hawkeye Flash when I was about ten years old, but I didn't really appreciate the camera's capabilities until I reached retirement age.

How Hawkeye spent his rainy day....this and gnawing on a rawhide. Eventually he got the zoomies and we had to go out for a jog in the park....in the rain.
