Hawkeye Perfection

French Navy E2 Hawkeye rolling down the main runway at RAF Lossiemouth for a sortie during exercise Formidable Shield 2023.

I modified Black Widows hair and painted it. I also have a hair piece for Her appearance in Iron Man 2. I will showcase that later. Enjoy i guess...?

This date codes to 1959. It has a typical Brownie Hawkeye Flash unit. It takes two C cells and also a BC unit with a 15 volt battery... you can use either setup. The more powerful battery is still available on the web. It can use M2 and M3 flashbulbs. They give such beautiful light. I have an original yellow K2 filter for it and a lens shade taped to it. The flat filter causes some strange flares, none of them good. This is a very under rated camera. Square format, 6x6, red window in the back. The belly button viewer is huge and quite easy to see through. If you get one, get the flash model so you have more options. In the US these are about $15, about $30 with the original box.

I tried to replicate that one scene where Hawkeye jumps off the building, loads an arrow, and flips around. The posing came out okay, but the editing is pretty poor. In case you haven't guessed, I'm new to editing :D

A pair of Illinois Central diesels — sporting the new "split rail" herald on the nose — cruise through Altoona with Train No. 12, the Hawkeye, on an October morning in 1968. The IC's orange, yellow, and brown colors fit in well with the fall scenery of this farming community. The last Chicago - Sioux City run of the prototype Hawkeye was April 30, 1971.

1930s Kodak Hawkeye Ace - takes 127 film (just about available still) and it works! Photographed with a 1970s Zenit 35mm SLR.

The mural behind Galaxy of Comics in Lake Balboa, CA. You see it when you park in the lot behind the shop, that is, if you know there is a lot behind the shop, it's easy to overlook.

Hulkbuster Hawkeye for the FBTB Mech Madness 2012 Contest. I reworked the bow, head and torso. I also tried to take a clearer photo to show the colors better, but my photography skills are more than a bit lacking.

Cameras for film size 127 .The Hawkeye Flashfun (first model- on the left) was produced from 1961-1967 ; the one in my picture was made in Canada . The Hawkeye Flashfun II was produced from 1965-1969 in the USA . They are of similar construction . The second model has more film types specified in the instruction table on the back . In addition , there are illustrations in the film compartment to help in placing the film spool correctly . The later model also has the camerosity code YMOO meaning 03-66 as the date of production .

Tech stuff: Toned down the background colors with a partial B&W layer in Photoshop; the greenish color of the walls and flooring wasn't really complimentary to their skin-tones and costume colors.

This is the "Kodak Hawkeye Flashfun". It is a simple, 127 box camera produced by Kodak from 1961 to 1967.

The Flashfun features a fixed focus, shutter speed and aperture. Behind the flash reflector (which takes AG-1 flashbulbs) is a battery compartment for 2 AA batteries. There was a close-up lens attachment available which allowed the camera to take pictures about 1 ft (or about 30cm) away.
