Afgelopen vrijdagavond en zaterdag hebben we het jaarlijkse buurtfeest van Olden Eibergen gehouden.
Dit is het Koningspaar 2011, Annelies van Koningsveld en Dini.
Voor Dini was het ongeveer de 6e keer dat het haar gelukt is in 35 jaar, we zijn de tel kwijt…
Normaliter een man en een vrouw, daar ook vrouwen met de heren mogen meeschieten, kan een koningspaar van het zellfde geslacht voorkomen. Vandaar dat de slingers ook rose zijn...
De dames gaan voor vogelgooien, het met knuppels op een houten vogel gooien.
Als na de kop, twee veugels, kop en staart er af zijn, is het de bedoeling om de romp van de pin op 4 meter hoogte te knuppelen, wie dat gelukt, wordt de schutterskoningin.
De heren (en enkele dames)schieten met een geweer op een houten vogel, na de onderdelen (K, V, V en S) moet de romp van de pin geschoten worden, met als gevolg het Schutterkoningsschap.
Deze vogel staat voor een beschermende "schietbak", op 6 meter hoogte en op afstand van 15 tot 20 meter.
Er gooiden dit jaar 23 dames en ongeveer 50 heren (+) schoten op één der houten vogels.

Any whoo...I had a lot of fun today, My brother George was helping assist me with my shot today, and it all fell through the cracks, I have shots but I didn't like them, and this shot here was the worst one out of the bunch I only liked it because I was smiling..the only thing about this picture is that its grainy but oh well.
