Hi there! :) I'm about 7 years behind with editing, argh (also commenting etc.). Anyway, I try to come back here every now and then, because I love Flickr and I still see inspiring stuff.
This was London this summer (two visits), first time out there with my new D850. Incredible camera, and indeed, I'm still not mirrorless...
Take care, happy shooting! R

I had no telephoto or other long lens with me so my trusty Macro lens came to the rescue again. Being in essence 105mm in length I managed this shot. The dark line on the actual ocean is caused by a cloud formation and not put there during processing. I sat on a bank above Booby's Bay and got a series of six all hand held so I was quite pleased to get these shots...
I apologise for removing the shot I put up yesterday and your comments and faves are very much appreciated believe me but it was too bad a day really.. It was the first anniversary of the unnecessary death of my late sister Avril and I didnt even feel right putting that photo on even though I know my sister would have urged me to. I didn't intend to waste your time....
Life is all about sunshine and shadows though and I return today with a shot representative of that and for all the silver surfers out there and their offspring who may become the next generation surfers....
~ I wanted to post a simple picture of a “regular/normal look” so I went through some new poses and tried to find the perfect one. As usual, I couldn’t find the perfect pose/angle/area of our home, so I decided to wait and see if one I took would pop out to me while editing. As I scanned the 5-6 different photos with different poses and angles of my house, I realized my favorite one was with my husband, Kahiau in the background. I love taking “candid” SL photos and I call these candid because they are spur of the moment memories with people maybe not knowing I am capturing the moment... And i find it hilarious and adorable that Kahiau always seems to get in the background or even right in front of me without realizing I’m trying to take a pic. Needless to say, there was no denying that this was THE pic. I reminded myself, these pictures do not have to be perfect, and that there will always be something to edit, or something that maybe someone does not like, but that does not matter! All that matters is that I’m having fun, enjoying myself in the moment, creating my own “art” and saving memories such as this one, even as simple as it was. It sure makes me laugh, seeing my bloody-skeleton skinned husband standing behind me in our home while I’m dressed super normal and that’s why it’s the perfect pic for me. #HaveFun #MakeMemories #BeSilly <3

I had left my camera at work yesterday.. and since I am gonna take it on my fishing trip this week I dropped by to get it. This is the lil' point n shoot (HP) that I bought to carry with me when I am out and about around town. I saw this relic parked in the yard of some aged hippy, so i decided to shoot it! Hope you enjoy...

Filling the Frame with the ingredients for southwest salsa, pico de gallo style. We use salsa on lots of things besides the obvious chips and salsa and southwestern cooking. I love it on eggs or omelettes and I often spice up a creamy salad dressing with it for a different taste.
The secret to taste and texture depends so much on the chiles you use (and how well you seed them), as well as the ripeness of the tomatoes. You could each use this exact recipe and the outcome may taste completely different, depending on those two ingredients. So learn more about your chile peppers, and use the ones that reflect your own style. I adjust this recipe every time I make it. Last week's was HOT (the jalepenos were smaller and spicier) having more texture and less liquid, this week's was milder (jalepeno's were milder so I added some serano chile to spice it a bit more) and had more liquid (riper tomatoes). Making salsa is an art, not a science, so just play with this, and taste and adjust as you go until you get it just right for you. And double or triple the recipe---I can finish off 2 cups of salsa in a few days.
INGREDIENTS:
* 4 plum tomatoes, seeded and chopped
* 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
* 2 fresh chile peppers, mild or hot, seeded and finely chopped
* 2 tablespoons chopped red or yellow bell pepper
* 1 1/2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh cilantro
* 1 teaspoon lime juice
* salt and pepper, to taste
PREPARATION:
Combine ingredients in a glass or other non-reactive bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Makes about 2 cups.
Helpful hints: use gloves when you cut your peppers. If not, the seeds and juice get on your skin and even after you wash your hands, you can irritate eyes and mucous membranes hours later! Also, if you like HOT, don't seed as carefully, as the seeds are quite potent. Serano chiles, though smaller, tend to be hotter than jalepenos, although I find jalepenos can really vary. Habernero chiles are even hotter. Anaheim chiles are relatively mild.

Happy Monday Face
I love this photo, every time I look at it I'm on the heart. It makes me just "Good Mood"
And I'm a hundred times went to the place over, until I discovered the motive.
It is a signal bell at the signal system of a railway crossing in the woods, but it hides well under Andrew's cross.
