Stepping into this abandoned bedroom, I was immediately struck by the profound sadness of this collapsed bed frame surrounded by delicate floral wallpaper that once made this space feel like home. The contrast between the cheerful pattern and the current state of decay tells a story more powerful than words ever could.
I wanted to capture not just the physical deterioration, but the emotional weight of a life interrupted - the most intimate space of a home now exposed to the elements and time's relentless march. That twisted metal bed frame, once the center of someone's daily routine, dreams, and rest, now lies broken among the debris of a forgotten existence.
The golden light filtering through the damaged window seemed to both illuminate and mourn what was lost here. These abandoned places fascinate me because they hold echoes of human stories - the wallpaper someone carefully chose, the room someone called their sanctuary, now surrendered to nature's slow reclamation.
My intention was to honor the memory of lives once lived here while reflecting on the temporary nature of all our domestic dreams and the bittersweet beauty found in places where time has simply stopped.

*“The Carrier” captures the exact moment when containment fails. The satchel, heavy and weathered, rests like a question did the occupant just arrive or are they preparing to flee?
The chair, the documents, the timepiece… all untouched. But the door the door is screaming.
In this work, I’m exploring inherited burdens and the silent architecture of denial. What we carry, what we pass on, and what we ignore until it bursts through the walls we thought would hold. This is the moment when memory becomes embodiment and it won’t be still any longer.*

"The Absence Room"
This piece explores the moment light returns to spaces no longer waiting for it. The chair becomes a placeholder for absence — a ghost not of people, but of relevance. The room is not abandoned; it is done with us. The only actor is the light, cutting in with precision, interrogating what remains.
