Dry lightning over neighbors house.

This tree is across from our parking spot at our condo and when the light is right it looks kind of spooky! A small cypress tree with strangled fig. I used a mono preset on Lightroom to create the mood and textures.

The beautiful haunting call of the Common Loon takes me back in time. The Loon is a very ancient species and is almost completely aquatic. They can barely walk on land so they nest very close to the water. What they lack in elegance on land, they more then make up for in the water. They are deep divers and move swiftly and elegantly through the water. They also need a quarter of a mile to take off in flight from water. Hearing the call of the Loon takes me back to childhood days vacationing in the north woods of Wisconsin. I am privileged and honored to often see them on Lake Michigan as they migrate north in the spring. <3

Re-edit of older photo I shot from the beach on Staten Island of the Billop House. [Yes the house is haunted] It was just minutes before sunset, the light was absolutely incredible.

I have a poacher family who's been haunting me for yr's. They hunt with bow 3 mths of the yr. Sit on open field side of my bush, bait, and shoot. Of course every deer jumps back into my bush. I have no trespassing signs & no hunting signs all around the project. They know I live 33 mins away and go at night to pick up the deer [when they find them, or I get to find them which sucks]. They are clever and never get caught as wardens live even farther away. Not against hunting for food, and I honestly wouldn't mind if they hunted 1,ooo feet from my edge and took one or two for food [so they dropped before my bush], but I find more than that dead every yr from their lack of hunting ethics. I shoot with a camera & I love this photo as I'd rather see them like this than rotting on the ground. Venting!!!!!

A fog bound woodland close to work gave me the chance to capture some really moody images, really liked how the wetter patches of the path kind of lit up the winding walkway

Many locals have made claims they say that you can hear the rumbling sounds of a train nearing, the steam whistle howling, and the screeching of wheels as if the train is grinding to a halt, but nothing ever appears, nothing is there at all, except for the haunting chill of the night.
