“Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.”

Hatori Coral Snake ]

This photo made possible by the talent and love of deerypancake/ pennylane/ nicole, my fiancée (see tags). ♥
This was my machine from Nippon rent-a-car, a Toyota Corolla Axio sedan with almost 90k km on it.
I couldn't really connect with it. Seat couldn't go down low enough, steering was super light and not very accurate or communicative, suspension was soft and mushy and it was noisy. Also couldn't find any good tunes on the FM.
The Pioneer Carrozzeria navigation system drove me crazy! "Merging traffic ahead, from the left, drive carefully." In Tokyo there is an on-ramp every 500m! It kept repeating that line over and over again. Couldn't get it to shut up. In Japanese satnav systems you can navigate by entering the telephone number of the place you want to go to. Much easier than entering addresses.
I enjoyed the freedom. Driving around a different country in a new (to me) car just makes me happy.
