Portrait of my University colleague Suki Medencevic A.S.C. Back in the days he was one year behind me at Department of Cinematography at Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. Later Suki graduated cinematography at FAMU in Prague and then moved to Hollywood.
Picture taken with Xerox 8 1/4" f4.5 (210mm) lens made in England by Rank Precision Industries. Most likely this lens was made in Cooke optical factory. Cooke is the major supplier of movie camera lenses in the History of cinema.

This picture is #34 in my 100 strangers project . Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page.
One of my stranger-hunting techniques is to wander around my office mid-afternoon, and that's how I found Damon. I found Damon and Ian (next portrait) in the smoking area of an office building near my own. He was immediately cool about the portrait, which I always appreciate.
Damon is an accountant by trade. As it turns out, his father-in-law is a pro photographer (Sonny Carter) that did a huge variety of pro work, from weddings to documentary/reportage (I hope I have this right!).
Thanks for being #34 Damon!

Decided to crack open some of the FP3000B I've had in the fridge forever. I really like the looks of this film, though I really wish they'd continued the 100 speed B&W -- I only got to shoot one pack of it.

Hasselblad 2000 FCW with CZJ Biometar 2.8/120mm @ f2.8
Accidentally I forgot to close down aperture after focusing so technically it was overexposed for full stop.
Beautiful softness produced with close focus, wide aperture and nice focal length. Some extra density of developed silver helped too!
Home brew D23 1+1 helped a lot in this case.
This lens was converted from original Pentacon 6 to Hasselblad mount with help from Dr. Yoshimasa Tsuji.

This motif was better in B&W than color, IMO, so I converted it. I was only carrying one back, so I couldn't switch at will and just shot everything in color.
