This quilt started at the Camp Stitchalot retreat when all the other projects I took along didn't work out. I dove into a supply of fat quarters had taken along 'just in case' and spent an hour pressing, starching and cutting. Then the never-ending (or so it seemed) hashtag blocks began and contined for the next three days and beyond.
I was inspired by the 42 Hashtags quilt by Tanya Finken in the Spring 2014 issue of Scrap Quilts. Hashtags seemed the perfect symbol for a world shared on Instagram.
My bolt of Kona white was used to keep the quilt pale and understated. I love the cool effect.
A few scraps kindly donated by Rossie of Fresh Modern Quilts added to the diversity of the blocks.

I took part in the first Hashtag by Visionaire Fashion Mob today. Theme was 'Zodiac' and we had to style according to our SL birth sign - mine is Pisces.
This was shot at Twogood sim, part of an incredible hidden treasure of SL. The sea south of Corsica continent was landscaped by Linden Moles, there are over 50 sailable sims with landscaped ocean floor, including sunken villages, wrecks, coral gardens, temples, and weird and wonderful sea creatures - go take a look!
