Meanwhile on the lake, ducks glide silently and make ripples on its calm waters. There is something nostalgic in the reflections of the golden trees in the water. The trees become as abstract as an old painting, not in oil or acrylic, but in colored water.

Last week, we went on a two day exploring road trip. I wanted to go see Kawkawa Lake, because as a child, my dad used to go here for weekends alone once in awhile to write, and also to get away from his five kids, I'm sure. I had never been here before, and seeing the peace and tranquility of it also brought back very pleasant memories of my dad, who is no longer here.
