At Brookfield Zoo - mid morning at the start of a hot day. They are normally sweet together, but usually just sleeping/lounging. I was walking by and saw this unusual dual pose, and quickly snapped off a few captures. The harmonic lines of their profiles really grabbed my attention!

Na potrzeby wieżowca Taipei 101 zaprojektowano olbrzymi dynamiczny eliminator drgań (system TMD). Zadaniem tego systemu jest ochrona budowli przed drganiami konstrukcji, jakie mogą powodować trzęsienia ziemi i podmuchy wiatru. Dzięki jego pracy pochłoniętych zostaje około 40% – 45% odchyleń wieży. Wisi 380 m nad ziemią i waży ok. 660 ton. Gdy wiatr bądź fala sejsmiczna próbuje odchylić wieżowiec w jedną stronę, amortyzator przesuwa się w przeciwnym kierunku, wymuszając powrót sił działających na budynek do stanu równowagi – funkcjonuje więc podobnie do zwyczajnej przeciwwagi. /
For the skyscraper Taipei 101 designed enormous dynamic vibration eliminator (TMD system). The purpose of this system is to protect buildings against vibration design, they can cause earthquakes and gusts of wind. Thanks to the work absorbed is approximately 40% - 45% deviation tower. It hangs 380 meters above the ground and weighs approx. 660 tons. When the wind or seismic wave is trying to deflect skyscraper in one direction, the damper moves in the opposite direction, forcing back the forces acting on the building to a state of balance - therefore operates similarly to ordinary counterweight.
