I took so many good photos last year, categorised them into their respective folders on my oh so organised harddrive and... well... forgot all about them! So I want to dig then out over the new few posts. If memory serves me well, (and it seldom does, (sorry how old am I?)) this was in my front garden, daisies growing amongst the grass on the main lawn area. I noticed here on flickr that people like dreamy softened looking photos, so hopefully this will amongst them.

There are pink spots on the plastic parts of the instruments, I really dislike them, but this is not digital noise, but a pearlescent coating. I've tried removing them, but the patterns can be damaged.
When a couple of weeks ago I fixed December 28th as the date for a hiking tour on the Wittekindsberg together with two friendly photographers from the Hannover Area there was uncertainty about the weather conditions. In general the dying stages of the year are quite dull and dark. When we started our tour on the banks of river Weser around lunchtime we were pleased with cold temperatures and sunshine. The weather was perfect the entire afternoon. Our tour took us up to Kaiser Wilhelm Monument, the Moltketurm, Wittekindsburg and Margarethenkapelle. A stony, tiny in size underground blockhouse still stands in one piece against all odds .. A second world war remnant that still holds its "proud" figure intact ... This symbol that reminds us of man's insatiable, hostile and aggressive nature is being "attacked" this time by a fully blossomed almond tree that "decided" to become its long-term partner in life ...
A scene that bears a strong anti-war message, a truly optimistic scene .... Devoted to all of you who are fed up with the unbelievable ugliness that lurks around our lives lately ...
