La Harley VL Big Twin de cabeza plana se lanzó para el año modelo 1930, en torno a la crisis de Wall Street, y fue la moto dominante en Estados Unidos hasta 1936, durante un período de demanda muy limitada.
La temporada de 1933 fue la de menor producción desde 1910/11 para Harley, y la empresa familiar trabajaba dos días a la semana tras cuatro años consecutivos de caída de producción y pérdidas.
Su respuesta fue introducir un nuevo modelo Sport Solo de precio premium con un motor de 36 caballos de fuerza, que batió el récord de velocidad de la AMA Production Bike a 104 mph.
Harley también abandonó el Verde Oliva como color estándar para competir con Indian, ahora propiedad de Du Pont, y 1933 fue el primer año con cinco esquemas de color estándar y el único año con el motivo Art Déco del pájaro en el depósito.

2017 Cruise-A-Palooza

The background was distracting so I blacked it out. After some basic enhancement in Photoshop, I took it to Topaz Glow and, on a new layer, applied a 'radiant' effect which I knew was way more than I wanted,. I then lowered the opacity on that layer until it had just enough "glow" to give the image some umph.
My husband always wanted a Harley, although he looks more like a college professor than the stereotypical Harley rider. I once created a painting of a Harley for my husband. He admitted that it was better than the real thing, because he couldn't kill himself on it.

This look (obviously) was inspired by Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn a la Suicide squad. Although I was sooo excited when I saw how cute she was in the trailers, I keep hearing not so great things about the movie so....I refuse to see it. I won't let the movie spoil how cute she is! XD

Shot on a fairly dismal morning in La Villajoyosa, Alicante.
The houses in the old quarter are painted in strong, vibrant colours...each one differing from its neighbours.
But sod all that here’s a Harley. Back in my hometown this would have been ‘half-inched’ within the hour.

I thought I would post two wheels instead of four today, I am glad I did. This Harley was on display last Sunday night at the Pony Corral Cruise Night.

This bike was in the parking lot of a cafe where we ate breakfast near Clear Lake, TX. It was backup for the chrome theme of 119 pictures, but I went with the winch because there were already a few motorcycle shots posted.

The animated DC Universe Harley Quinn show was a surprise treat and one of my favorite things DC has put out in recent years, so I did a figbarf for it.
