We live in some pretty hard times right now, stay strong and know one day we will look back and reflect on.....
This old church, seemingly abandoned, was the Palmer Methodist Church according to the sign on the building. Surprisingly, the bell was still in the tower. There is no other information regarding the historical building, as there are only 449 residents in Palmer, according to a recent census. None of the 449 were seen.
Palmer is near one of the last large mines in the Upper Peninsula, the soon-to-be-deactivated Empire Mine,

We need to try and always be there for our loved ones and even those we don't know during illness. If a patient is surrounded by positive support and laughter it makes the world of difference. I can tell you that from experience. Happy weekend my Flickr friends!
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! xo💜💜
Dare to reach out your hand into the darkness, to pull another hand into the light.

We want to reach out to those kids that are having a hard time..., we encourage them to talk to someone, a teacher, counselor, principle, anyone.

We must reach out our hand in friendship and dignity to both those who would befriend us and those who would be our enemy.

Through smoke and fire and shot and shell
Unto the very walls of hell
We shall stand and we shall stay
Over the hills and far away.
The Regimental songs was that of the 95th Rifles. To this day, Over The Hills is still played by the Drums and Bugles of the Rifles as their theme song. The history of the catchy tune actually dates back to 1706, long before the Rifles adopted it as their theme and oddly enough, was extremely popular in Colonial America.

Sorry but my new hard drive is on order. So right now I am having a hardtime getting through all the pictures from this weekend. I am getting a 1 terabyte hard drive. LOL I already filed one so I have to get another one. And my computer is still being worked on from the lightning hit. Anyway I just wanted to say hi!

This is a work dedicated to my city, London, England. It is a diptych with a self portrait and a painting of Compayne Gardens in London, where my Mother used to live. As you can tell the diptych has been abstracted to give London more of a colourful look.
I have lived outside London for over half my life now and yet I never lose my love for my city. Knowing how the world is changing, I found this New York Times article:
"Lovely, Lamentable London" an interesting read:

I was born in the war with bombs coming down on us constantly. I have early memories of a city destroyed by war, rationing and hard times. Then a vibrant diverse city again, filled with interest. An abundance of arts and museums and so many different and interesting cultures.
Also remembering the many protected and beautiful parks, moving traffic out of the center of London to prevent traffic jams, always encouraging walking and bicycling.
As with most of Europe London consists of small narrow streets, everything is on the small scale in comparison to the USA, Canada or Brazil. Yet there is a quaintness and unique character to the city I love!
I am saddened to read constantly of some of the changes for the worse to this beautiful and historic city.
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! xo❤️

Fall harvest is slowly beginning in our area of the Midwest. And again it is a very uncertain time for the American farmer. Low prices, high debt, and uncertain times are plaguing the industry. It is hard to be optimistic when the odds are that these crops will be sold at a loss. And when farmers are hurting,it affects so many other industries and Main Street as well. But we will put in the work and the time and hope for a much brighter time ahead, much like this harvest sunset from 2017...

Depression
-Rupi Kaur-
yesterday
when I woke up
the sun fell to the ground and rolled away
flowers beheaded themselves
all that's left alive here is me
and I barely feel like living
depression is a shadow living inside me

Italy is gripped by a countrywide lockdown because of rocketing numbers of coronavirus cases, even it’s human to be scared, Italians are trying to boost their morale and have started spreading a slogan of reassurance:
“Andrà tutto bene” – everything will be all right.
"Some days are diamonds some days are stones
Sometimes the hard times won't leave me alone
Sometimes a cold wind blows a chill in my bones
Some days are diamonds some days are stones...."
John Denver
The previous version of this shot was way too colorful for these times so it had to be tuned down a notch or two.
